THL World Cup - Day 7 Recap

One full week of the inaugural THL World Cup is in the books.  3 groups are fully complete and others are very close to completion.  Let's take a look at what happened yesterday.

Group B:

This group had it's first match since literally day zero of the tournament.  Bluesombrero gets on the board with a 2-1 win over TrisHS.

Group D:​

One new match to report here as well.  LotusKnight looked to be the group favorite entering play but suffered a 2-1 loss to TheChronic.  This group is till wide open with several games to play.

​Group F:

RonMexico finished his slate of games up with a 2-0 win over BlueSpartan.  The result eliminated BrushyTuna from contention but the possibility remains for all three other players to advance.

Group G: 

Our first completed group.  This group lived up to the hype without a doubt.  Cmac suffered losses to both TwoStar Mako (1-2) and Itachi (0-2).  No one in this group was undefeated and no one was winless.  Mako advances as the 1 seed and Shimjim the 2.

Group H:

Another completed group.  Kols had already punched his ticket but Darkseid will join him after a 2-0 win over RageDopple.  Kols will be the top seed with Darkseid as the 2.

Group I:

Our third and final completed group.  Catman avenged his opening loss to Shadowranger and scored running wins against Mattyebs (2-1) and Quaz (2-0) to advance.  Shadow is locked in as the 1 seed with Catman as the two. 

Group J:

Fuel finished up his run with a 2-1 win over Snake, the only game loss he suffered.  He'll be the 1 seed for sure but the two seed comes down to Lefty vs Snake tonight.
