Week 7 saw some shifting on the list. A few new faces fought their way to the top 10 while we’ve also began to see some familiar faces on the list.
10. ThorSmash (5-2, 17-9, 21-23%) ThorSmash makes his first appearance on our list. He’s gotten victories over Anamor, Mainge, Hupnar, Kungmar, and Zerotio. This week he takes has SHL veteran Delcevare subbing in for him. 9. Craeon (5-2, 19-10, 22-27%) Craeon makes his way to the top 10 list. This season he’s gotten victories over JediNinja, Kuthroat, CaptanMurdoc, RockBass, and Phoebus. This week he takes on DetectivDiamond when Entropy takes on Soupreme. 8. PinkSamus (5-1, 16-7, 20-15%) PinkSamus is off to a great start for Season 5. Last week he was out and his sub Ericokey got a win in his place. This week Ericokey subs for PinkSamus again as N.W.A. takes on Parallax. 7. LochnessH (5-2, 19-6, 22-23%) LochnessH has had a great season thus far with victories over Ridiculous, Spyvr, JediNinja, TroyMcClure, and Fenom. This week he jumps up to the 1 seed for the Temporal Legends as he takes on RayC. 6. Aroy (6-1, 20-13, 18-20%) Aroy moved to the 1 seed and appears to be every bit as competitive there as he was in the 4, 3, and 2 seed for Defias Brotherhood. Since getting his only loss on the season in a 5 game series to SuperSam, Aroy has gotten wins over HotAsianGirl and Crovan. This week he takes on Brewski in a battle of top 10 players. 5. Brewski (6-1, 18-10, 21-25%) Brewski is having a great rookie season as the 1 seed for the Hearthstone Academy. He’s gotten wins over Catota, Crovan, Gnetz, TonyMontana, Sephyrix, and HotAsianGirl. This week he has a big test ahead as he faces Aroy. 4. Markshire (6-1, 20-11, 20-27%) Markshire rebounded from his only loss on the season to Slimsch by defeating Wwlos 3-2. This week he takes on TomLocke. 3. MeMyselfandI (6-1, 20-10, 22-24%) MeMyselfandI got his first loss on the season in Week 7 when he took on Eldorian. It was a close series that he lost 2-3. This week he looks to rebound from that loss when he takes on OldGreg. 2. DLineman (7-0, 21-6, 34%) This season DLineman has done it all. He started as the 4 seed and now finds himself in the 1 seed. Last week he stayed perfect on the season by defeating HectorHowl 3-1. This week he faces his toughest test on the season as he takes on Slimsch. 1. MVParker (7-0, 21-6, 43%) Holding down the 1 spot, MVParker won a close series to TroyMcClure 3-2. This week he looks to remain on top of the list as he takes on Fenom. The regular season for SHL Season 2 has ended. With it we begin the playoffs to crown our second champion and see who’s flag will fly. Before we get to that though, let’s look at the final Power Rankings for SHL Season 2.
1. Pocahontas In Space (7-0, 134 Points) PIS was nothing short of dominant in the regular season. They went perfect on the season and had the most points of any team in THL or SHL this season. Week 7 they won 4 out of 5 matches against Defias Henchmen. This week they take on The Dog House in the Semi-Finals of the playoffs. 2. Kawasaki Ninjas Rule (5-2, 116 Points) KNR got to the top of the Purple division and never looked back. Week 7 they won over XplosiveSheep to get their second win in a row as they head into the playoffs. They face Team Xnergy in the Semi-Finals. 3. Team Xnergy (4-3, 103 Points) Team Xnergy had a close race going into the end of the season for the last playoff spot in Purple. Sweeping Lorewalker Nachos helped them secure a playoff spot. This week they face the regular season champion of the Purple division, Kawasaki Ninjas Rule. 4. The Dog House (3-4, 89 Points) The Dog House made the playoffs in one of the closest tiebreakers that I’ve seen in my time with THL and SHL. The Dog House tied with Defias Henchmen at 89 points each so we then went to the tiebreaker of their head to head matchup from this season. The Dog House won by 1 point, despite losing 3 of the 5 matches. They look to carry their momentum from their Week 7 victory over Team Black Lotus as they take on PIS. 5. XplosiveSheep (3-4, 88 Points) Our Season 1 champions struggled early on in the season and then looked to have found their stride as they won 3 straight. But losing in the last 2 weeks put them out of the playoff race and ended their title defense early. 6. Defias Henchmen (2-5, 89 Points) Defias narrowly missed the playoffs in a very close race with The Dog House. They had some solid wins over the course of the season but lost their last 3 weeks to end their season. 7. Team Black Lotus (2-5, 72 Points) Team Black Lotus always seemed to be on the competitive and looked to have started putting it together early on. However a midseason slide of 3 loses in a row put them out of reach of the playoffs and made it very unlikely that they had a chance at a playoff seed going into Week 7. 8. Lorewalker Nachos (2-5, 72 Points) Lorewalker Nachos was a team that looked to be competitive early on as they were in the hunt for a playoff spot after the inter-divisional part of the season. However, a 4 week losing streak helped to put them out of the playoffs and end their rookie season. After 6 weeks, the end of the season is in sight. We’re starting to see a clear top 10 emerge for the season and the playoff race is starting to shape out as well. With 3 weeks left in the season, it’s a close race to see who’ll finish on the top 10. Several names are starting to show up every week, and it’ll be interesting to see how the list finishes out over the next 3 weeks. 10. Slimsch (5-1, 14-10, 49%) Coming in at #10, we’ve got the two time MVP, Slimsch. Slimsch has put together another great season coming off the heels of an undefeated regular season in Season 5. He’s gotten victories over Cassity14, Wwlos, RidiculousHat, HectorHowl, and Markshire. Four of those series have gone to game 5, so to be 3-1 in those series is impressive. This week Slimsch takes on TomLocke. 9. Aroy (5-1, 17-11, 50%) Aroy is a man of many seeds in the league. He started out at the 4 seed for Defias last season and after a season that got him MVP Runner Up, he’s continued that success to climb up to the 1 seed for them. He’s 1-1 since becoming their top seed, but both series went to game 5 and against the likes of SuperSam and HotAsianGirl, that’s some stiff competition that he’s had since moving up. This week he takes on Crovan. 8. ArcaneTHL (5-1, 16-10, 39%) Season 6’s most improved player got his first loss in Week 6, losing to Sage 1-3. This week he looks to get back on the winning track as he takes on Delta4one. 7. Brewski (5-1, 15-9, 46%) Brewski makes his first appearance on the Top 10 list. The newcomer to the league has had an impressive showing. He’s defeated Catota, Crovan, Gnetz, TonyMontana, and Sephyrix. This week he faces off against HotAsianGirl. 6. Markshire (5-1, 17-9, 47%) Markshire got his first loss on the season in Week 6 when he took on Slimsch. It went to game 5 with Slimsch taking the last game to win the series. This week he faces Wwlos. 5. Sunshine (5-1, 15-7, 37%) Sunshine also got his first loss of the season in Week 6. They went 0-3 in their match against RogueJT. This week he takes on GernBlanston. 4. PinkSamus (5-1, 16-7, 52%) PinkSamus continued his great season in Week 6 when he took on Gideoneko, earning a 3-1 victory. This week he has a sub in his place as Ericokey will fill in for him when N.W.A. takes on Xnergy. 3. MeMyselfandI (6-0, 18-7, 46%) MeMyselfandI stayed perfect in Week 6 when he beat BlueSpartan 3-1. This week he looks to remain unbeaten in his rookie season as he takes on Eldorian. 2. DLineman (6-0, 18-5, 36%) DLineman remains undefeated on Season 6 but fell to the number 2 spot on the list. He had a tough match in Week 6 against Mojopowell, walking away with a 3-2 win. This week he moves up to the 1 seed as he takes on HectorHowl. 1. MVParker (6-0, 18-4, 37%) MVParker takes the top spot on the list after his 3-0 victory over JediNinja. He’s still only dropped 4 games over 6 weeks of play this season. This week he looks to stay on top as he takes on TroyMcClure. With 2 weeks left the playoff race is heating up. Every game counts and every point matters as we head down the stretch to the end of the regulars season. We saw some answers to the questions from last week but overall the playoff picture is starting to take shape. Week 6 has teams looking to punch their ticket to the playoffs and some teams looking to try to steal a seat in the post season.
1. Pocahontas In Space (5-0, 98 Points) Week 5 saw a dominating performance from PIS. They took on Team Black Lotus and won all 5 matches, only losing 5 games in the entire series. This week they take on The Dog House as they look to remain unbeaten as we head into the end of the regular season. 2. XplosiveSheep (3-2, 71 Points) XplosiveSheep got their 3rd win in a row Week 5 when they defeated Lorewalker Nachos. Markshire, BitBeaker, and Eridan all secured wins for to lock up the victory. This week they look to continue this momentum as they take on Team Xnergy. 3. Kawasaki Ninjas Rule (3-2, 77 Points) Kawasaki Ninjas Rule lost a close series 11-12 to Team Xnergy in Week 5. They got wins from Delcevare and a DQ win from Klobbered. Inposition, Merkin Pie, and Scals44 all added in 1 point as well. This week they look to rebound and secure a playoff spot as they take on Lorewalker Nachos. 4. Defias Henchmen (2-3, 72 Points) Defias Henchmen lost a close series in Week 5 to The Dog House 13-14 despite winning 3 of the 5 series. Joe_HS, Hockeyboyz3, and Gkick all won their matches with KombatWombat adding in 1 point. This week they look to secure a playoff spot as they take on Team Black Lotus. 5. Team Xnergy (2-3, 61 Points) Team Xnergy won a close series against Kawasaki Ninjas Rule in Week 5. They got wins from Samoo, DexterHS, and ArcaneTHL. The win helps keep them in the playoff hunt. Week 6 they look to make some more moves toward the post season as they take on XplosiveSheep. 6. The Dog House (2-3, 58 Points) The Dog House got a big win over the Defias Henchmen to break a 3 week losing streak. They won despite losing 3 out of the 5 matches but all of those losses were extremely close as they were all 2-3. Dlineman and Jimphilos both won their series to help secure the victory. This week they look to make some noise as they take on PIS. 7. Lorewalker Nachos (2-3, 63 Points) Lorewalker Nachos lost to XplosiveSheep 7-12 in Week 5. AdumbusPrime won his series but it was the only victory that they were able to get. Josseroo, Qbert, and Jameus were all able to pick up 1 point each from their matches. Week 6 they look to try to earn back a playoff spot as they take on Kawasaki Ninjas Rule. 8. Team Black Lotus (1-4, 48 Points) Week 5 was a rough week for Team Black Lotus. They faced PIS and only managed to earn 5 points in the series. Force of Will took Mainge to game 5 in their series to pick up 2 points with TonyMontana, Gemini, and JerryDamage all picking up 1 point each in their series. This week Team Black Lotus look to finish the season on a strong note as they take on the Defias Henchmen. With Week 5, we saw some upsets and we saw the majority of this list stay the same. We do have some new faces on the list this week but we still have 6 players who are unbeaten on the season. There’s still a lot of Hearthstone left to be played this season, but so far all the players on this list are having phenomenal seasons and should be proud of what they’ve accomplished so far.
10. ForceOfWill (4-1, 13-8, 40%) A new face to the top 10, Force of Will makes his first appearance on it. He came into the league via SHL last season and has really improved over the off season. This season he’s gotten victories over THLeumer, JesusC, BitBeaker, and Sage. This week he faces Delta4One. 9. HotAsianGirl (4-1, 13-7, 41%) Making his return to the top 10, HotAsianGirl is having a great season, similar to how he performed back in THL Season 3. He’s gotten victories over SuperSam, Gnetz, TonyMontana, and Sephyrix. This week he faces off against MVP runner up, Aroy. 8. TopHatDemon (4-1, 12-6, 45%) TopHatDemon has long been a respected name in THL and now he finds himself on the top 10 list. He started off with a 0-3 loss to RidiculousHat. But after that he’s not lost a match, getting victories over HectorHowl, Slimsch, TroyMcClure, and Fenom. This week he takes on RayC591. 7. PinkSamus (4-1, 13-6, 56%) PinkSamus had a great Season 4 and is having an even better Season 5. He’s gotten victories over PumbaasBFF, C0mp, Eldorian, and Jaybie. This week he takes on Gideoneko. 6. ArcaneTHL (5-0, 15-7, 40%) ArcaneTHL just keeps on winning. We’ve seen other players in his situation let it have the reverse effect on them, but with a new team, turnover on that team, and being a first time captain, any one of those things could have been a reason to underperform this season. Instead Arcane is having his best season yet in THL and remains undefeated after Week 5 getting a victory over BitBeaker. This week he takes on fellow captain, Sage. 5. Markshire (5-0, 15-6, 39%) Markshire is looking like the guy who went 9-0 during THL Season 2. It’s hard to remain undefeated in any seed, but even more so in the 1 seed with the level of talent that we have at that spot across the league. Last week Markshire stayed undefeated with a 3-0 victory over Cassity14. This week he has a big challenge when he takes on the two time MVP, Slimsch. 4. MeMyselfandI (5-0, 15-6, 44%) Rookie seasons like this don’t happen often. MeMyselfandI remained unbeaten in week 5, winning a close series 3-2 against ArthurRhodes. This week he looks to remain undefeated when he takes on BlueSpartan as he moves up to the 2 seed. 3. Sunshine (5-0, 15-4, 28%) Sunshine is another player who’s shown a lot of improvement from Season 4 to Season 5. Week 5 saw Sunshine stay perfect, winning a close series 3-2 over Ham. This week Sunshine takes on Season 4 rookie standout, RogueJT. 2. MVParker (5-0, 15-4, 36%) MVParker is dominating as the 3 seed of Soupreme. This past week he stayed unbeaten by winning a 3-2 series over LochnessH. This week he looks to stay perfect on the season when he takes on former THL Commissioner, Jedininja. 1. DLineman (5-0, 15-3, 40%) Dlineman was an absolute beast as the 4 seed for Entropy. Last week he remained unbeaten and on top of the list with his 3-1 victory over Ridiculous. This week he takes on MojoPowell. Honorable Mentions: Aroy JingBudda Jaybie Eridan Brewski Slimsch With Week 4 we’ve started to see some teams emerge as playoff contenders. There’s still some room to maneuver and lock in a spot or take one if you’re not currently in it. Divisional play is a big help as every point you get also denies those points from the teams you’re directly competing against for those playoff spots.
Here’s some of the questions after the interdivisional part of the season.
This week we see a new number 1 on top of the list. But outside of some position shifting, a lot of the names on the list remain the same. We still have 9 undefeated players on the season and another 18 players with 1 loss, which means the MVP race is still wide open. As we enter the second half of the season, it’ll be interesting to see how that race shapes up.
1. DLineman (4-0, 12-2, 37.5%) THL veteran DLineman moves up to the top spot. He’s been nothing short of dominant in the 4 seed this season, only dropping 2 games in the first 4 weeks. This week he moves up to the 3 seed to take on Ridiculous. 2. MVParker (4-0, 12-2, 31.25%) MVParker is continuing his winning ways. This season he’s in the discussion to become MVP MVParker. He’s only lost games one week this season and has 3 sweeps in his other matches. This week he faces another person on the top 10 list, LochnessH. 3. Sunshine (4-0, 12-2, 25%) Sunshine is having a great season. Undefeated and like MVParker, they’ve only lost games in one match this season. This week they face off against what may be their biggest challenge on the season, Ham. 4. MeMyselfAndI (4-0, 12-4, 43.75%) MeMyselfAndI is having a breakout start to his rookie season. He’s gotten some big wins in his first 4 matches over THL veterans like PumbaasBFF, DirestBear, Vendi, and Samoo. This week he faces another big challenge when he takes on THL’s saltiest player, ArthurRhodes. 5. Jingbudda (4-0, 12-6, 46.67%) Jingbudda is having a great start to Season 5. He started out in the 4 spot and like DLineman, he did so well there that he moved up the roster. This week he will be in the 2 seed when he takes on Inposition. 6. ArcaneTHL (4-0, 12-6, 43.75%) ArcaneTHL is arguably the most improved player from Season 4 to Season 5. He found a new team, is now the captain of what remains of that team, and is leading by example as he’s winning a lot. This week he looks to keep the streak going as he takes on fellow captain, BitBeaker. 7. Markshire (4-0, 12-6, 40%) Going undefeated in the 1 seed is never easy when we’ve got the amount of top players in that seed that THL does. Last season it earned Slimsch an MVP award and this season it’s gotten Markshire’s name in that conversation as well. This week he looks to keep that conversation going as he takes on Cassity14. 8. Aroy (4-0, 12-6, 25%) Last season’s MVP runner up is putting on a great second bid to the award. This season he’s moved all the way up to the 1 seed where he will face his biggest challenge on the season when he takes on SuperSam. 9. Jaybie (4-0, 12-6, 23%) The Salty Saturday co-caster is off to a great start in his rookie season. He’s gotten wins over Drewman, Houdinii, Mooshu, and Inposition. This week he looks to remain undefeated as he takes on his biggest challenge this season, PinkSamus. 10. LochnessH (3-1, 11-3, 33.33%) The only 3-1 player to make our list this week, LochnessH is putting together an impressive season. He’s gotten victories over AlecGWPodcast, Ridiculous, Spyvr, and Jedininja. This week he takes on his biggest challenge of the season, MVParker. |
