A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Aeon 3 seed Darkseid for using his points to purchase a brand new THL Article on the week 3 episode of Friday Night Fight Aeon are a team that have always been “attractive”. Now when I say that, I mean they have always attracted the attention of others. ![]() History: Richard Staub asked me back in the end of season Kappa if I wanted to be a team captain, at the time I had to decline him because even though I was flattered at being considered captain material. I felt I would learn more about both the game and the community by sticking with The Hairy Generals for a little while longer. So that is what I did, It was definitely the correct decision as I had a lot to learn and learning from the founder of Team Hearth League was the best way to learn. In the Season 2-3 offseason, one of the teams fell through and they needed to get a new team captain within about 2 weeks of the season starting, Richard came to me and told me about the situation and asked if I was still interested in being a captain someday and if so now was the time. This time I was ready so I agreed. Within a week I had a team made and I was confident in the fact that getting a #1 legend player into the team I would be doing really well this season. Well Season 3 came around and it was a complete disaster. I came to hate SPL as a huge distraction and the lack of THL experience was evident in results. We finished the season bottom 3 in the entire league, along with Boom Squad and Entropy.

First off - A huge congratulations to NWA 4 seed Force of Will for being the first to purchase a brand new THL Team Article! ![]() Nagas With Attitude aka N.W.A were formed in Season 3 and made immediate headlines in the THL world by signing at the time one of the biggest one seeds ever in Team Hearth League: HotAsianGirl in his first ever season and also the hottest 4 seed of the time - Craeon. Captained by the league’s second bearded beauty Nacl/Salt aka Arthur Rhodes (previously a member for Entropy) N.W.A are one of the most consistent, close knit and hard working teams in THL. To anyone new to the league, never count out N.W.A as they have made the playoffs every single season since they were formed. In season 3 they narrowly missed out on a finals spot, losing by 1 point in a 13-14 thriller with Team Avatar. That set the standard that they have stuck to ever since, even keeping mostly the same line up throughout their history up until the present. Season 4 and 5 saw the rise of Tony Montana and also current 2 seed PinkSamus, becoming the definition of consistent. Now, no matter who he is up against, it is extremely difficult to bet against him and last Friday was no different, coming up against MVP runner up DLineman and sweeping in a 3-0 victory. Along side Pinksamus, TonyMontana took down THL favourite Slimsch in a thrilling 3-2 victory, Placing N.W.A at the top of the purple division. Newcomers may be surprised, but for those that have been around for many seasons now, This comes as no surprise as they prove time and time again, they are a force to be reckoned with. SHL Week One Power Rankings!
Welcome to the SHL Power Rankings! Each week we will be throwing out some power rankings for everyone to argue over. Moving forward, these will be released every Tuesday. These are are being done by committee so naturally, we had a bunch of disagreement in deciding where to put some of these teams. So strap in, cause here we go. Presenting SHL Power Rankings for Week One! 1. Defias Henchmen The Henchmen came out swinging this week with a couple changes to their roster and demolished Team Next Level with a 20-3 victory this week. JetLaw and c0mp made their Henchmen debut with some solid wins. Defias looks poised to do work in a very tough red division with solid players in every seed. Going into Week Two, look out for what JetLaw does in the one seed coming off his April Top 200. That matchup will be key as they take on the number two team on our list... 2. Kawasaki Ninjas Rule The Ninjas also had a really good opening week defeating XplosiveSheep 16-8. With wins in the two through five seeds, Kawasaki Ninjas Rule easily handled the week with the only loss coming from Delcevare in the one seed. Their team lacks the obvious one seed that some of the other teams have but if they continue their dominance in the lower seeds, look to see Kawasaki Ninjas Rule leading in blue for a while. 3. Pocahontas in Space America’s favorite acronym walked away victors against Team Black Lotus, 14-9. THL veterans but SHL newcomers struggled for PiS with RHat and Nade falling in their SHL debut but luckily DetectivDiamond was able to walk away with a win against Force of Will which proved to be crucial in their close match. Those are the three to watch this season for PiS as their season moves forward. As they face Doesn’t Matter next week, keep a close eye on Craeon and Nade as both look for their first win this season. 4. The Dog House The Dog House started the new season off right with a 16-12 win taking down...who’d they beat again, ah who cares it Doesn’t Matter. Newcomers Kreep and YellowDart both came away with wins this week as did Jimphilos, a Dog House veteran. The one seed position will be one of importance for them moving forward, as the top three guys their are going to be switching seeds a lot. Similar to Defias, a consistent 1 seed will need to emerge for long term success. They take on Team Next Level next week. Kreep’s match will be interesting to see if he can secure the 1 seed and provide some consistency between seeds heading into the rest of the season. 5. Team Black Lotus Rare Magic Card lost a close one with PiS this week. SHL powerhouse DLineman makes his new team proud with a close victory against RHat. Drudded struggled in his debut against HeyGuysJT (If you don’t get this joke, watch The Hidden Cache, Wednesdays at 9:00 ET! #shamelessplug). Team Black Lotus’ core is still strong with Arthur Rhodes aka NaCl also securing the sweep this week. Watch out for Force of Will v. VeganZombie next week; it could be the game that decides their match with their week 2 opponent: XplosiveSheep. 6. Doesn’t Matter New team Doesn’t Matter had a hard fought battle this week but came up just short. In the only match of the week without a sweep, their battle against The Dog House was close and every seed got at least 1 point. Bringing in SHL veteran Arcturus along with THL veterans Dunamis and Craeon, Doesn’t matter has a solid roster albeit a little unproven in the SHL format. They take on PiS next week. Again, look to see what happens in the three seed next week as Craeon and Nade duke it out. 7. XplosiveSheep XplosiveSheep was only able to secure one win this week against Kawasaki Ninja Rule as TopHatDemon brought out the broom for Delcevare. The rest of the Sheep fell to the Ninjas. Sheep brought back VeganZombie and BitBeaker, both very experienced in SHL, so look for them to get on track next week against Team Black Lotus. 8. Team Next Level SHL’s only team with all new players to the league, Team Next Level had a disappointing debut to the league, losing all their matches to Defias. It’s hard to gauge where then will end up at the end of the season as we only have one week to go off of, but I don’t expect them to take this beating laying down. Look for them to come flying back against another tough opponent in The Dog House next week. Thanks for reading everyone! Feel free to tell us how wrong we are in the comments! |
