The season is almost over. With that we’ve started to see some names appear on this list each and every week and are seeing several names who could be up for a possible MVP award at the end of the season. This week also sees more playoff spots up for grabs than what I can recall in the last few seasons, a sign of just how competitive the league has gotten.
1. Slimsch (6-0, 18-6) Slimsch regains his top spot on top of the PPR this week. He got a 3-2 victory over RayC and maintains his perfect record on the season. This week he faces Bytes as Team Rank 5 look to remain undefeated on the season. 2. Aroy (6-0, 18-6) Aroy also remains undefeated on the season. He won 3-2 over DirestBear. This week he looks to also stay undefeated as he moves up to the 2 seed to face ThorSmash as the Defias Brotherhood take on Noob Central for a playoff spot. 3. PokeHer (5-1, 17-7) PokeHer has had a phenomenal season. This past week he won 3-0 over Season 3 MVP, Cheesee10. This week he faces TopHatDemon as The Hairy Generals look to close out the season on top of the Blue Division.

1. Silent Storms (3-1, 45 Points)
The Silent Storms have rebounded from their first loss of the season with an impressive 12-0 win. ArthurRhodes and JerryDamage both picked up 3-0 wins. Eridan took a DQ victory over Mainge. This week they will take on XplosiveSheep. 2. xG (3-1, 44 Points) xG has had a very good season. This past week, they got their 3rd win of the season with a 10-6 victory over the Defias Henchmen. Samoo got a 3-0 win over Joe_HS and captain DexterHS got a 3-2 win over Aeo. RedMarsh followed it up with a 2-3 loss to Hockeyboyz3. This week they face Kawasaki Ninjas Rule. 3. Enthalpy (3-2, 42 Points) Enthalpy had a slow start, but they haven’t lost a match in the last two weeks, bringing them up to the top of the Gold division. This week they handed XplosiveSheep their first loss of the season. Dlineman got a 3-0 win over DirestBear. TheAnarchist and Jimphilos both got 3-1 wins over VeganZombie and BitBeaker. This week they match up against the Defias Henchmen. After the first week of divisional play, we have really begun to see who is up for all star contention. With two weeks left in the season, a lot of teams are up for a possible playoff spot and it is going to be a very tight finish coming down the stretch.
1. B0rck (5-0, 12-3) B0rck takes over the top spot on our list for the first time this season. He is undefeated and a part of the powerful 4/5 seed combo that The Hairy Generals have going. He has dominated the Red Division and is now carrying that over to the Blue Division as we enter divisional play. This week he takes on SwankyTiger, who is coming off a big 3-0 victory over RaginRhyn0. 2. Slimsch (5-0, 15-4) Slimsch is having a fantastic season so far. Moving to Team Rank 5 in the offseason has brought him back to a strong MVP contender. His path to a 5-0 record has not been easy as he has faced several fellow PPR list players. It does not get any easier this week as his opponent is RayC as Team Rank 5 face off against the Noob Central. 3. DagRandolph (5-0, 15-4) Like his teammate B0rck, Dag has been an amazing pickup for The Hairy Generals. He has had a great first half to the season, only losing 4 games in 5 weeks of play. This week he is up against last season’s runner up MVP in Gemini. Season 4 is more than halfway over and we are now into the heart of the season as we enter divisional play. The chase for a playoff spot starts to heat up as almost every team is still in contention for a playoff spot. One thing I want to point note is that for the first time since I’ve been doing this list, EVERY member of Team Rank 5 are either in the top 10 or an honorable mention. They are having a phenomenal season and the data certainly backs that up.
1. Slimsch (4-0, 12-2) THL's premier 1 seed has gotten sweeps over Vendi and Drewman and only dropped 2 games all season so far. He’s had a hard schedule as two of his opponents were in the top 10 when they played him. He faces BoomBoomHall this week as TR5 takes on the Defias Brotherhood. 2. JesusC (4-0, 12-2) Like his teammate Slimsch, JesusC is having a stellar season. He’s got sweeps over RockBass and Godsgift6917 and has also only dropped only 2 games this season. He has a tough test this week as he faces the undefeated Aroy. 3. DagRandolph (4-0, 12-3) Rookie Phenom DagRandolph is taking on all comers this season. He’s only dropped three games and has beaten THL veterans Drudded, LightW8, Phoebus, and TheAnarchist. This week he faces Sunshine as The Hairy Generals take on Team Golden Wisp. 1. XplosiveSheep (3-0, 38 Points) XplosiveSheep goes up to number one as the last undefeated team in SHL. They had a close series against the Defias Henchmen this week DirestBear and VeganZombie won their series 3-2, while captain BitBeaker lost to Aeo 1-3. They take on Enthalpy this week. 2. Pocahontas In Space (2-1, 34 Points) At the beginning of the season, everyone looked for PIS to be a team to beat. And after 3 weeks, it looks like those predictions are proving true. They are now 2-1 on the season and second in points. Gnetz is an amazing 9-1 on the season. Sub ArcaneTHL proved to be a good addition as well as he got a 3-0 win over Klobbered. RogueJT lost a close series to merkin_pie 2-3. This week PIS takes on the Silent Storms. 3. Silent Storms (2-1, 30 Points) The Silent Storms finally fell to their name as they lost all 3 matches to Enthalpy this past week. The losses were close with Eridan and JerryDamage losing their series 2-3. This week they hope to rebound as they take on PIS. What up, THL? Mainge here, back again with MVParker and Cassity14 to bring you power rankings for week 3. Normally these go more in depth but a busy week has derailed that. We’ll be back to the higher quality (and yet, still shitty) Power Rankings that you’ve come to expect next week when there’s not a hurricane swirling around in my backyard.
1. Team Rank 5 (=) Went up against the imploding avatar and walked away with a 5-0 sweep. Team Rank 5 is now 13-2 in individual matches on the young season. They take on Danger Zone this week. 2. Aeon (=) Took on NWA in one of the most anticipated matchups of the week and walked away a tie, 13-13. The top 3 of Gallon213, DotDark, and TopHatDemon took home wins. Aeon plays The Yogg Champs. 3. The Hairy Generals (+1) Ended up sweeping the Temporal Legends as well, holding them to a THL record low 2 points. Markshire and JediNinja pick up their wins of the season. The Hairy Generals face Entropy this week. By Jerry "JerryDamage" Cook
1. Silent Storms The Silent Storms have continued their streak from Week 1 with a win over the Defias Henchmen in week 2. ArthurRhodes got a 3-2 win over Joe_HS and Eridan got a 3-1 win over Hockeyboyz3. Captain Jerry Damage has yet to find a win this season as he lost to Aeo 1-3. This week they look to remain undefeated as they face Enthalpy. 2. XplosiveSheep XplosiveSheep followed up their Week 1 win with a sweep of the Old God Squad. Captain BitBeaker got a DQ win over Odeffen with DirestBear also earning 4 points for his retirement inducing 3-0 win over Dunamis. VeganZombie helped with a 3-1 win over Amenwolf. This week they look to remain unbeaten on the season as they face the Defias Henchmen. 3. Pocahontas In Space There was a lot of hype surrounding Pocahontas In Space going into the season. After a week 1 loss, they rebounded with a sweep of xG. Gnetz went 3-0 over Tranid0r, Mainge went 3-1 over Godsgift6917, and RogueJT went 3-2 over DexterHS. This week they look to continue the momentum against another team that’s moving up the rankings, Kawasaki Ninjas Rule. By Jerry "JerryDamage" Cook
Welcome to the second Player Power Rankings for Season 4. We’re starting to see some players rise to the top of the league and as a result their teams are finding success too. One thing I wanted to address before we get to the rankings is how I do disqualifications with this list. DQs are always going to be tricky. They are scored as a sweep but the games aren’t actually played. The way I score them is I count the match win and loss but I do not count any games played for this, since the games weren’t actually played. If I didn’t count them at all, I feel that it’d be cheating the player who was awarded the points for the DQ. Through no fault of their own, their opponent could effectively drop them off of this list if I scored it that way. So I chose to do what I viewed as the fairest way and count it as a win but not score the points you get for the games since those weren’t actually played and that would skew the data. The system I’ve based this off of does this similar where it’s 0-0 as far as games played but the win is awarded to one player over the other. In short, if it works for competitive Magic, it can work for the PPR. And with that, it’s onto the top ten. 1. JesusC (3-0, 9-1) JesusC stays at the top of the rankings after having dropped only one game all season! He doesn’t care what seed he plays at or whom his opponent is, which is good because this week he squares up against the venerable Jingbudda. 2. DagRandolph (3-0, 9-2) Talk about hot, after losing his first two games in THL, rookie Dag Randolph has won his last 9 straight games. To top that off, he’s possibly the first 5 seed in league history to hit Legend. This week he has a very tough tough challenge as he faces TheAnarchist when the Generals take on Entropy. 3. Slimsch (3-0, 9-2) After Friday Night Hype, we knew that between he and Gnetz, only one would remain on this list. Team Rank Five’s top seed came out on top and also rose up the list as a result. Between Slimsch and JesusC, it’s not a surprise that Team Rank Five are having the season they are having. The challenges keep coming as Slimsch faces the number nine player on this list, Vendi. |
