With Week 1 of SHL Season 1 finished, we have the first installment of the SHL Power Rankings. Week 1 was a great success for SHL as there was 100% class submission and 100% of match results reported. It’s still very early in the 7 week season so it’ll be interesting to see how this list shifts as players adapt to the Last Hero Standing format. 1. Silent Storms The Silent Storms are off to a great start as they only allowed 5 points in their Week 1 win over The Old God Squad. ArthurRhodes picked up a 3-0 victory over Dunamis and Eridan picked up a 3-1 victory over Odeffen with captain JerryDamage picking up 2 points in his defeat by Amenwolf. They have a big matchup this week as they face the Defias Henchmen in Week 2. xG Xnergy’s SHL team starts the season well by defeating Enthalpy 10-7. Captain DexterHS and Tranid0r picked up victories with Godsgift6917 contributing 2 points in his defeat by TheAnarchist. This week they face Pocahontas In Space. 3. Defias Henchmen The Defias Henchmen had a strong showing Week 1 as they won 10-7 against Kawasaki Ninjas Rule. Joe_HS and Hockeyboyz3 picked up wins over Klobbered and Delcevare with Aeo picking up 2 points in his defeat by Merkin_pie. This week they face a strong challenge in the Silent Storms.

What up, THL? Mainge here and I’m back with MVParker and Cassity14 to bring you Week 2 power rankings.
1. Team Rank 5 (=) After last weeks 5-0 sweep, Team Rank 5 found themselves coming down to the wire as both MVParker and Loadedlux found themselves on the wrong end of a 5 game series. However, the duo of former MVPs in Slimsch and JesusC pulled out a pair of brooms to lock the series up and secure a 2-0 start for Team Rank 5. 2. Aeon (+1) Week 2 was host to one of the best early series of the season as Aeon squared off against Entropy. Much has been made of the 1-2-3 punch at the top of Aeon’s lineup but it was the 4-seed RaginRhin0 and sub 5-seed Odeffen that proved to be the difference. Rhin0 is now 2-0 himself and if he is able to maintain this success, Aeon becomes incredibly scary. 3. Entropy (-1) As mentioned above, Entropy ended up falling to Aeon, as only Dlineman was able to grab a win that wasn’t a DQ. Surprising that ArcaneTHL and TheAnarchist went a combined 1-6, as they are thought to be the strength of the team. The encouraging news is that Dlineman is now 2-0 and Entropy has a chance to make up the points with Team Golden Wisp on deck for Week 3. Written by Jerry "JerryDamage" Cook Hello and welcome back to the Player Power Rankings (PPR) for THL Season 4. These rankings are for the first two weeks of Season 4. For those of you unfamiliar with how the PPR is calculated, I have input all the results for every match played this season. I then sort by your Match Win Percentage, your Game Win Percentage, and by your Opponent’s Win Percentage. These help to give us a view of who is winning the most matches, who is winning the most games in their matches, and who has had the tougher matchups so far.
It has been an interesting beginning to the season thus far. It is safe to say that the league is more competitive today than it has ever been. However, even with the increase in competition, there are still some familiar faces on the list, along with some newcomers to the league who have adapted pretty well to the THL meta. 1. JesusC Season 2’s MVP is once again proving his worth in Season 4. JesusC is yet to lose a game in his sweeps over RockBass and GodsGift6917. This week he faces off against THLeumer as Team Rank 5 looks to remain undefeated and the number one team in the league. 2. Imbolc Imbolc was a regular on the PPR last season and he is here once again for Season 4. This season he has to his name a 3-0 victory over Season 3 MVP Cheesee10, and a DQ win over TopHatDemon. This week his opponent will be wwlos as Entropy and Team Golden Wisp look to rebound from losses last week. 3. RaginRhyn0 Newcomer RaginRhyn0 has shown he means business in his first weeks in THL. A 3-1 win over FezSama and a 3-0 victory over ArcaneTHL show that Aeon’s 4 seed should not be taken lightly. This week he plays against PinkSamus as Aeon looks to hand NWA their first loss on the season. By Timothy Cyr (PumbaasBFF) Before we get to what this article is mainly about, I would like to briefly talk about my first season here in THL. If you don’t want to read about any of that, then please feel free to skip down a few paragraphs. I was a newcomer in Season 3 and I have to say, it was amazing. I have never enjoyed Hearthstone as much as I was able to while playing in THL. This league is a really cool way to play in a competitive format without having to dedicate your life to the game or becoming a pro. Coming into the league, I spoke with many captains and messaged many others trying to find a team who could fit a player with my PR. I was very open with them all in explaining that my PR was probably not accurate as my highest finish was rank 5 and I had only done that a couple of times, both with Combo Druid. My knowledge of the game was not very diverse, and the decks I knew very well were being rotated out when the season started. What’s up, THL? This is Mainge and I’m here alongside Cassity14, and MVParker. When we found out that THL AP would be unable to continue doing his/her weekly power rankings, we knew it would leave a hole in the THL week and we knew that we wanted to try to fill it. It’s going to be a tough task because, despite THL AP not possessing a spine and writing anonymously, he/she was very good at this. We are probably not good at this, at least when it comes to the writing aspects, so bare with us while we bring you Week 1 Power Rankings.
1.Team Rank 5 Team Rank 5 opened the season against newcomers in Team 1600 Dust and walked away with a 5-0 sweep, as JesusC and LoadedLux secured 3-0 sweeps. There’s not much else to write about besides this, as no one knows what to expect from 1600 Dust this season. Team Rank 5 will face off against Xnergy in Week 2 2. Entropy This isn’t your grandpa’s Entropy, as they faced off against Netherstorm in what was probably the most anticipated match of the week, as both teams were ranked high in the community power rankings. Entropy came away with a decisive 5-0 victory. Imbolc swept Season 3 MVP Cheesee10, while TheAnarchist swept the MVP runner up in Gemini. FeelsEntropyMan? Entropy will look to slay another giant in Aeon for week 2. 3. Aeon Aeon opened their Season 4 against Temporal Legends and came away with a hard fought win. RaginRhin0 won his league debut against everyone’s favorite class breakdown guy FezSama, whie Astei688 came on as a substitute for dotDark and secured an important 3-0 win over LochnessH. As mentioned above, Aeon has a strong test in Week 2 against Entropy. |
