THL World Cup - Day 6 Recap

Sorry about the decreased communication the last few days.  As most of you know by know, I've had the flu and have spent basically the last two days in bed.  Hopefully coming out of it and I'll be more available this weekend!

Over half of the groups now have a player either locked in to advance or eliminated.

Group A:

No new games yet, but Saku is eliminated after an 0-3 finish.

Group B:

I know at least one game is planned for tonight but nothing new to report.

Group C:

Tyfoon is now locked in at 2-1.  He could end up being the 1 or the 2 seed.  The winner of Donde vs Ozma will advance as well (Saturday - 9:30 AM EDT).  Terdherder has been eliminated at 0-3.

Group D:​

We'll have an update on this group tomorrow as well.  Nothing new at the moment.

Group E:

Thebigted is having a big World Cup.  When he's not laying the smackdown, he's been doing a great job casting too.  He's locked into the next round with a 3-0 finish.  He defeated Mayanadon 2-0 but with 2 matches left, Mayanadon is far from out.

​Group F:

Anfal came out swinging for the fences last night and hit two big dingers as he defeated RonMexico and BrushyTuna 2-0.  Due to some record weirdness he's still not 100% locked in yet and no one has been eliminated but it's hard to see a knockout round that doesn't include Anfal at this point.

Group G: 

Cmac is here everybody.  He announced his presence by defeating the previously undefeated ShimJim 2-0.  Shim is finished at 2-1 and is likely to advance but has yet to secure his place in the next round.

Group H:

Kols is in at 3-0, RageDopple is mathematically eliminated at 0-2 but still plays a huge role in the group.  With Darkseid's upset victory 2-1 over Ace103 last night, Dark needs to pick up at least 1 game on Rage to advance.

Group I:

Shadowranger slides into the next round at 3-0 and Mattyebs is mathematically out at 0-2.  Matty suffered back to back losses at the hands of the aforementioned Shadow and Quaz both 0-2.

Group J:

Fuel is the only player locked in without having played a full slate of games.  He's 2-0 but at 4-0 in game score he can't be ousted.  Khell did pick up a win but he too is eliminated.
