THL World Cup - Day 3

Welcome back to our third installment of the daily THL World Cup update!  Most groups have gotten underway and one is even close to being complete!

Group A:

SuperMurloc claimed the first of two wins for the Atlantic region on the evening as he defeated Saku 2-0.  Saku was already predicted to have a tough road out of the group stage and really needed to start off right with Rain and Aviously still to play.  SuperMurloc is now potentially one series away from advancing.

Group C:

Tyfoon took the first win over yours truly.  Donde did manage to spike a one game lead with Murloc Paladin so that the series wasn't a total loss but Tyfoon was too much to handle.  Tyfoon now in good position to take the group as was predicted.  At least, that's the silver lining I'm giving myself.

Group D:

SirLos leads off with a 2-1 win over TheChronic.  I expected this match to be tight and even though TheChronic had the better season 12, SirLos was the better player this day.  Still by putting up 1 point TheChronic can be considered a threat to pull through.

Group G:

Our group of death kicked off with a pseudo-upset.  Itachi was projected to be the group front runner and ShimJim proved that predictions are overrated with a 2-1 win.  I wouldn't be surprised by any result in this group.

Group J:

Khell simultaneously becomes out first player to complete all his group matches and be officially eliminated.  A 2-0 loss to Snake makes a Snake/Fuel match the likely decider of who will be the top seed with both favorites expected to now advance.

Match 2: at 9:30 PM ish: Kols (0-0) vs Ace103 (0-0) GROUP H
