by TeamHearthLeague AP As the regular season comes to a close so does the power rankings. It's been a great season two for Team Hearth League filled with many upsets and incredible series. Many teams have fluctuated on the rankings, while others have been more stable, but we've seen changes throughout with every team. As we close the door on a successful regular season and look to the playoffs, let's first see where all of the teams have landed for the last time. 1. Hairy Generals (last week 1) – 1st Blue – 122 ptsAs fate would have it, in the last week of the regular season the top two ranked teams battled it out for the top spot in THL. The result was an exciting series decided by one point in favor of the Hairy Generals. Key in this victory was PokeHer scoring a big win over DeerJason, which neutralized Soupreme's strength at the top of their roster. With a nearly unblemished record and an incredibly strong roster the Generals both earned and deserve the top spot. 2. Team Rank Five (last week 3) – 1st Orange – 123 pts![]() After a close loss last week Team Rank Five bounced back with a convincing win over Boom Squad, taking four of the five matches. In terms of a balanced roster there may be no teams that rival that of Team Rank Five's and as a result they finished with the most overall points of any team and a second place finish in the power rankings. 3. Soupreme (last week 2) – 2nd Blue – 115 pts![]() Sliding down a spot this week is the team of Soupreme after a narrow loss to the Hairy Generals. Cheesee10 took down AndyRogers to finish as the only 7-0 player this season, the reason for much of Soupreme's success along with his teammate and captain DeerJason. Though DeerJason did lose this week, showing that if you can get a win against one of Soup's top two seeds you have a good chance of beating them. 4. Entropy (last week 4) – 1st Red – 121 pts The famed rivalry between Entropy and Archon Storm didn't quite live up to its billing as Archon Storm didn't quite show up. Entropy took advantage and had another big week, building on the momentum they've accrued over the past weeks. LoadedLux has been a nice addition so far, winning two of his three games since replacing Twizz at the top of the lineup. 5. The Gosu Casuals (last week 5) – 1st Green – 105 ptsSimilar to the Hairy Generals and Soupreme battling it out for supremacy in the blue division, the Gosu Casuals and those Filthy Roleplayers clashed to see who would claim the Green Division. The two teams traded haymakers, as no series went to five games and the match featured three sweeps. Yet when it was all said and done, Slimsch, ADKT, and Odeffen led Gosu to a two point win and the division title. 6. Continuum (last week 7) – 2nd Red – 102 pts ![]() Continuum gained a victory over the Dream Team this past week and with that win also stopped a three-game skid. The series was closer than it could have been as Despair forfeited the week and now has not played a match since week four, which has to be a concern for a team that otherwise has a balanced roster capable of giving any team trouble. 7. Those Filthy Roleplayers (last week 6) – 2nd Green – 102 pts![]() An impressive win streak that had placed those Filthy Roleplayers atop the green division was ended in week seven by the Gosu Casuals and consequently they also lost their lead in the division. Alexstrasza and YamaKiller both had nice sweeps but it wasn't enough to best the Casuals. Despite the loss it's been a nice season for the Roleplayers, especially with three THL rookies. 8. Noob Central (last week 9) – 2nd Orange – 99 pts ![]() It initially looked like Noob Central's playoff spot could be in jeopardy but ultimately it proved not to be an issue as the Noobs took a four point win over the Super Heroes to close out the season. Replacing Gemini in the fifth seed, Hamboning was able to grab his first win which was a big help in the series. 9. Pure Strategy (last week 10) – 3rd Green – 94 pts![]() Missing the playoffs has to be disappointing for Pure Strategy but they did end the season on a good note at least with a win against Xnergy. The win also stops a three game losing streak which began after a win against Soupreme. Probably not the season Pure Strategy had hoped for but there were some positives and there will be plenty of time to regroup for next season. 10. Boom Squad (last week 11) – 3rd Orange – 85 pts![]() Going against Team Rank Five is never easy, especially if they're coming off a loss, as Boom Squad found out in week seven. Points were hard to come by but DannyWu was able to get a nice win over MVParker. Overall not a bad season for a new team with several new players. 11. Team Golden Wisp (last week 13) – 3rd Blue – 82 pts![]() In the podcast showdown the value was too much and Team Golden Wisp came away with the victory over the Top Deck Kings. Captain AlecGWPodcast came up a little short this week but Hupnar, Chef Sasha, and Vtiioma all chipped in with wins to swing the series in their favor. One of the most inexperienced teams in the league, there was a learning curve with such a hard schedule but even while learning there were also moments of success to build on. 12. Archon Storm (last week 8) – 3rd Red – 84 pts ![]() With two disqualifications to start the series against Entropy, Archon Storm never really had a chance to stick it to their rival. A team accustomed to success and making the playoffs, Archon Storm would probably be more upset if they hadn't already declared, redeclared, triclared that they were taking the season off. Even with a more relaxed approach they still picked up a win here and there. Will Archon Storm make spring break last forever or decide to return to the grind next season? 13. Super Heroes (last week 12) – 4th Orange – 82 pts ![]() After an upset win over Team Rank Rive the week prior, the Super Heroes put themselves in the unexpected position of having a chance of making the playoffs playing against Noob Central to finish the season. The dream didn't come to pass however as the Heroes needed a dominating win and instead came away with a loss. Going down swinging, not a bad way to go. 14. Xnergy (last week 14) – 4th Green – 80 pts A season to forget, Xnergy closed out season with the team's fifth straight loss after opening up with two wins. Pacetry and VendiClique did finish with wins but it's a small consolation after high expectations for this season were not met. 15. Dream Team (last week 15) – 4th Red – 83 ptsWith no chance at the playoffs, the Dream Team still looked to finish out with a win against Continuum but barely lost, a recurring trend for season two. c0mp was the lone member to find a W, but it was an impressive one, halting a nice streak that Adidas5482 had built up. A few points here and there and the Dream Team would have had a much different season. 16. Top Deck Kings (last week 16) – 4th Blue – 74 pts Coming to THL as a completely new team isn't easy and the first season for the Top Deck Kings was a tough one. As with the Dream Team there were a few very close losses, including this past week against fellow podcast team Team Golden Wisp, and also a tie—so the Kings weren't far off from breaking through. This is all in addition to having to play one of the toughest schedules as well. KremePuff collecting a win against fellow captain AlecGWPodcast is a nice note to end on though.
