The tenth season of Ragnaros League brought in the introduction of our first ever Hall of Fame, where we enshrined ten members in recognition of their League accomplishments and contributions. Since then, the League has been chasing kobolds through the dungeons and hunting monsters in the Witchwood, all while continuing to put on a great show over here at Team Hearth League. After carefully reviewing the latest crop of eligible HoF candidates and nominees, we are excited to induct our second class of two additional, exceptional league legends. To make sure the excellence of these inductees’ accomplishments and contributions are preserved properly, the HoF committee commissioned Player Hall of Famer, Markshire, to speak proficiently on our Player’s achievements, and the baddest of Hombres, Smoked Salmon, to deftly present to you on our Contributor. The following process and criteria was used to identify HoF Inductees: To be considered eligible, one must have participated for at least 5 seasons in Ragnaros League as either a player, a captain, or a consistent contributor to League operations or content. A selection committee of 8 League members was formed, and the community as a whole submitted nominations to be considered. Guidelines for selection include but are not limited to:
Bearing that in mind, the time has come to present to you our second class of Ragnaros League Inductees: Players AndyRogers AndyRogers is one of the most well-known and accomplished veterans of THL. Andy has been in THL since the beginning: he began his career playing for The Hairy Generals in Season Alpha, where he won THL’s first championship. He returned in Season Beta to form Team Andy, where he reached the finals and was “unofficially” crowned MVP of the season. In Season 2, he won yet another title with The Hairy Generals, playing a huge role in their undefeated championship season. After a brief hiatus from League play, Andy returned to THL for Season 8 and improved his overall win rate to 63.68% (while securing a Top 30 ladder finish). Andy’s other accomplishments include being the first ever player to reach 500 PR, as well as having a 60% team win rate in three seasons as a captain. He’s also lent his casting skills to THL productions throughout his career. With seven seasons of sustained success as a player, and strong performances as a captain and contributor to the league, AndyRogers has earned his rightful place in the Hall of Fame and proven once again that The Queen Reigns Supreme. -Markshire Captains There were no Captains inducted for this class. Welcome to the Comedy Central Roast of RidiculousHat! I’m your host SmokedSalmon! *Note: The following article is not affiliated with Comedy Central or Viacom Media Network. The ideas expressed are not reflective of the aforementioned parties’ opinions are not to be taken as endorsed by these parties. RidiculousHat basically revolutionized THL by displaying you don’t have to be good at hearthstone to be a Hall of Famer. You may say MVParker and Mainge did it first, but I’ll be damned if RHat didn’t do it best. RHat is probably the smartest man in THL. He understood that there was no way for him to make the HoF as a player or a captain, so he did everything he could to get in as a contributor. He opened doors for guys like Dave from IT or Bill from Legal to make it in after 5 seasons. Truly inspiring. There is no more deserving person for HoF contributor and to any fool who disagrees, simply look at his accomplishments:
You know that part of the roast where you close by saying something nice about the person? I’ma skip that part. Salmon out. (Edit: I was told I couldn’t post this without including the nice part. The ideas expressed below are not reflective of the opinions of SmokedSalmon, SmokedSalmon Industries L.L.C, probably my buddy Tranid0r, or DownWithRHat.com) If you're reading this and don't know who RidiculousHat is, he did his job perfectly. RidiculousHat has grown this League exponentially despite entering 5 seasons after its inception. The amount of time and effort he invested in both administrative and systems operations for this League is insane. He was our President, IT Department, Social Media Admin, as well as a key voice in legislation and adjudication. And he was all of that despite receiving no gratification except the admiration of his peers. He truly embodies the spirit of giving back to the community. He’s the reason a community-driven hearthstone League has grown to the point where we could have a Hall of Fame. This League wouldn’t have survived without him as president, but thanks to the systems he put in place - it will. -SmokedSalmon
