THL Free Agent Rundown

Welcome to the inaugural Free Agent Rundown! Much like Jim Halpert you may be wondering what the rundown actually is. Well, over the last few weeks some of our free agents-to-be have been filling out a questionnaire designed to allow them to show the league what they’re all about. What follows is a list of everyone who is looking for a team that filled out the questionnaire, in their own words with minimal editing. Players are in order of most PR to lowest PR.

Also of note:  Most submitted their PRs before the calculation change.  Some may be slightly off.  I will be updating PRs as they come in for maximum accuracy.

How long have you been playing Hearthstone:
Since MSOG, so about 1.5 years

Which league(s) are you looking to join:
Both, but I might have a team for Sylv already

Do you have any previous experience in THL? If so, when:
I subbed for the one match of Sylv this season, though I’m a member of the Department of League Administration, so I know how the league works.

Do you have any other Hearthstone accolades we should know about:
I finished 149 last season playing almost exclusively Jambre’s even warrior, and I’m angling for a higher finish this one playing “actual decks”

Anything else cool we should know about you:
I have a long history in competitive gaming. I was a trials carry streamer and tournament competitor in Destiny 1, then I moved onto Overwatch, where I peaked 4.4k (#189) and played on high level open division teams. I’m also just a huge gaming fan in general, and I recently beat Watch Dogs 2 and Hitman as well as picked up an awesome board game called Twilight Struggle. Outside of games, I’m a college student pursuing a degree in computer science, and I currently work remotely creating a system for indexing educational content using Microsoft’s video indexer.

I've been playing for about 3 years now


Which league(s) are you looking to join:
I am looking to join a ragnaros league team.


Do you have any previous experience in THL? If so, when:
Yes I participated in rag league season 7 and 8. During season 7 I was the first seed for the Thermic Whims, we had a great performance until we got knocked out in the playoffs. In Season 8 I played for the Texas Stubbies.


Do you have any other Hearthstone accolades we should know about:
I've won several tavern heroes and made challenger finals. I've made top 100 finishes in late 2017 and throughout 2018 so far.

I am 16 years old, I live in Texas and I play the piano.

My name is Anhdreu Nguyen and I’m 29 years old, married and have two kids age 6 and 2. Live in Fort Myers, FL. Like to play Overwatch and some HOTS. Played Yu-Gi-Oh for a long time before HS. Play some Pokemon Go with the kids and work full-time.

Peak legend 228, have finished at around 1500, nothing special. I’m a very tournament oriented player and think I can put a lot of work into lineup theorycrafting.

I’m 20 years old, I play several card games besides hearthstone but I am also a competitive smash player. Not melee though, don’t got the skill for that game. Other than that other games I play are overwatch and whatever friends want to. I was in a gamer club in college and part of the advertisement team and competitive team. My favorite board game is Monopoly which I’m pretty good at it and I love chess. Pretty happy go lucky and I just like having fun but be serious at the same time.
