THL DraftKings: A Darkseid and JerryDamage Production

From the brain of Darkseid and the pen of JerryDamage, we are excited to bring you another fantasy league option for THL.

Sometimes someone will mention how they think something may be cool and it’ll spark some creativity in you. A random suggestion from the same guy who brings us Darkstone every off season, has inspired me to run with it and create THL Draftkings!
For those of you unfamiliar with Draftkings, it’s a popular website that allows you to draft daily or weekly fantasy teams for a variety of sports. Each week you are given a salary cap for your team and then you draft players for your team based on that salary cap. For instance, for the NBA I could have a salary cap of $100.00. I draft Lebron James who’s $75.00. I then can’t draft Kevin Durant because he’s $50.00 and would put me over my $100.00 salary cap. I could however draft any other players for my team who are under that amount up until I hit my salary cap limit.
So if we are doing a THL version of Draftkings, how will that translate over from the NBA and NFL to THL? The way it will work for THL is as follows:

• Each week you will select any 5 players who’s total do not exceed the 1800 PR Cap.
  
• Players may be from the same seed. For example, I can draft multiple 1 seeds as long as I still have enough to fill the rest of my team with other players.
  
• Players who win will score you 10 points per match win.
  
• Players who sweep their opponent 3-0 will be rewarded with a sweep bonus of 5 points.
  
• Lineups will be due to myself, Jerry Damage, by Tuesday 11:59 PM PST. This will allow everyone to review matchups and select their roster for the week before matches are played.
  

I’ll keep track of points on a public Google Spreadsheet so that you may see how well your rosters are performing. This is Season Beta for Draftkings and will be a shortened season since we are currently in Week 5. It will begin starting with Week 6 and go through Week 9 with our winner being announced at the end of Week 9 and the regular season.
So, what do you get if you win? Well in regular Draftkings, they offer $1,000,000.00. I can’t offer that but I can offer is $20.00 in packs to the winner and $10.00 in packs to 2nd place. Not a bad prize for just picking who’s going to win some matches.
