Hey everyone! MartyB here again for another Wild Series preview. Jailstorm and Sundy helped out on this one too, so you can thank them for even convincing me that we would get this out in a reasonable timeframe (even if that didn't necessarily happen). We have a lot to cover, so let's dive in. Hair Club
Hair Club, also known as “Tempostorm and Friends”, returns this season looking just as strong. WhiteDelight, a Reno Shaman extraordinaire, has high legend finishes in the last few months with Secret Mage, and can be expected to improve this season if, in his words, he “doesn’t meme.” ConcernedMom returns to conquest after an adjustment period last season, and is known for his love of Big Priest, Turtle Mage, and most recently Majordomo Rogue. Otters frequently grinds legend playing a variety of decks, dumpstering his rank regularly, then grinding it back once he’s had enough with memes. Burnt is a well known and friendly Wild player, favoring control, combo, and Druid decks. Memnarch is a high legend player known by many, likes Rogue a ton, and is a top innovator for new decks in the format. Everyone's a winner
Everyone’s a Winner, the previous season’s Wild series champions, return with the same high legend lineup with the goal of taking another championship. Battletagger is a strong ladder and tournament player with several achievements to his name. Hazer won a Wildside West vs China tournament earlier this year, and isn’t afraid to experiment and meme to find new stuff, like his 100%-winrate Reno Paladin from last season. jjjjjj (pronounced six j) is a fantastic Wild player and content creator for THL. Last season he went undefeated with some “dirty high rolls'' over THL’s best. Absolute, known for being THE Dead Man’s Hand Warrior player, finished rank 1 and is not to be underestimated. Sundy, the captain this season, is also a warrior aficionado, and he’s regularly found in high legend. With such high-level players and the championship to boot from last season, Everyone’s a Winner is the team to beat this season. Wild THL Fanatics
Wild THL Fanatics, a couple players returning from last season hoping to make the playoffs this season. LaboreSangre is a Wild legend player and streamer well known within the community, and contributes to writing for AceGameGuides. ElectricSheepCity, the off meta combo deck extraordinaire, returns this season as well, bringing representation to the often forgotten Mecha’thun Rogue and Holy Wrath Exodia Paladin. DoctorBOMD is a THL regular known throughout the community. Last season wasn’t as good as previous seasons but he can be expected to turn things around this time. New to Wild THL Fanatics this season are Slaad and Turtle. Slaad is a strong wild player who has regularly seen success each season, and has a unique capacity to carry his teams arguably farther than they should go. Turtle has reached all star multiple times in the Hero and Legacy series, won the Hero championship last season and is regarded as a strong player. Looking to improve from the previous season with a couple new teammates and more experience, the only way for Wild THL Fanatics to go from here is up. Fel me I'm a wreck
Made in Heaven returns this season with a new catchy name, Fel Me I’m a Wreck. They’ll be looking to get over the playoff hump this time to show everyone what they’re made of. SnakeFawdz won the Hearthstone Community Tournament early last season and is still looking for the elusive Wild Series Championship. Peanuts did well in their first season in Wild and is looking to hit the ground running this time. Mentalistic also returns this season. He’s known for hitting high ranks with all kinds of decks, particularly Odd Paladin and Cube Warlock. Kyrehx had a strong start early on, but fell off in the later stages last season. Here’s to hoping they can keep their early momentum this time. Finally, Nebula’s record last season is somewhat misleading. Most losses were 2-3, meaning each match was incredibly close. A lucky roll here and there and we may be viewing Nefola in a very different light this season. nofin can stop us
The core of last season’s Entertamers is looking to make a strong playoff push again with Nofin Can Stop Us. ForChrist, the captain, was a newcomer in the Wild Series late last season who surprised everyone with a 3-1 record. He’s been rocking in high legend too since his THL success. GL4R3 is another member that showed up midway through last season, and has quickly become a household name in the community as a Darkglare Warlock Specialist. Quakelord, hailing from Australia, is another strong addition. He recently qualified for the West vs China Wild Side tournament after deciding to show everyone how strong his play is when he sits down and focuses on hearthstone for more than a couple of hours each week. YoDaddy has been a regular bouncing around top 200 legend with all kinds of decks. He’s had strong seasons each time he’s participated, netting at least 6 wins every season. Finally, Nowayh is always found around top 50 legend. Expect him to have some fun with Odd Warrior once again this season. Time will tell if nofin can stop this team from winning a championship. Mankrik's revenge
Just like Mankrik himself, this meme team might not be all memes. Mankrik’s Revenge is shaping up to be a dark horse this season. SinisterMe, for example, is known for being a competitive player when he sets his meme decks aside. He’s reached top 100 legend easily when he wants to. LordXav is another strong player making his THL debut. The Wild caster and streamer has done well with all kinds of decks on ladder. Next up, Oddlaw is an aggro lover who has reached high ranks with decks nobody else bothers to try, like Aggro Druid and Odd Hunter. Keep an eye on them as a sleeper for the top player this season. PraiseChickenDrumstick is new to Wild conquest this season, but they’re a strong legend player known throughout the Wild community. Finally, Lefty2111 is a THL player who’s always around. Reliable, friendly, and one of the most accepting and loved members of THL, Lefty is one of the best additions to a team for the morale he brings alone. Annoy-o-team
Annoy-o-Team returns with its roster of playoff regulars to take on everyone in the Wild Series. Duwin, the hunter main who loves control, is back. He’s one of the scariest conquest opponents in THL right now. Sleight and Bonemasher hail from Australia, and are strong conquest players how haven’t had luck go their way as often as one might expect. Don’t sleep on either of them, they’re not to be underestimated. Mattatarms, the team captain, is also coming back after taking a season off to focus on other things. He should do well in his return. Then there’s MikeV, who is returning after taking most of the season off as well. He’ll be looking to turn things around early and help the team go on another deep playoff run. F2L: Viridian
F2L: Viridian is back and aiming to return to the finals so they can finish the job. Corbett, one of wild’s most handsome men, has been dominant in all formats lately. GetMeowth is also joining this season after taking a break from the Wild conquest format. If he picks up where he left off (a Team One Trick Championship), then expect him to give a ton of opponents trouble. Next up is MartyB, the stats and spreadsheet man himself. His efforts have always given his team a slight edge every week. Nejiboston has continuously shown how strong his play in Standard and Wild is. The highest PR player in THL returns for another dominant season. Finally, TheRottedZombie is the cherry on top for this team. The Tempo Storm head likes his Reno decks, and has seen plenty of success with them. The Pogmerchants
Diamond’s newest team concoction debuts in the Wild Series as The Pogmerchants. Lasagne is joining to play in THL for the first time after dominating ladder on all 3 servers. He’s even held rank 1 on all three servers simultaneously. Pace is an Odd Demon Hunter and Kingsbane Rogue expert that is regularly found in top 50 legend. Expect him to hit the ground running this season. Next up is Maxiebon, a Wild meme gamer and high legend player known for bringing pet decks like Dinomancer Warlock last season. Tom Carter is new to the Wild conquest scene, though he’s been a legend ladder player for a while now. He subbed in the Wild Series last season and is hoping to learn and improve as a player to hang around with the best. Wrapping up this team is AnAwfulArtist. The Wild community member is looking to flex their skills in conquest and prove that they can hang with the best of the rest. Mad Scientists
Mad Scientists are a returning team from last season. They were slept on by most, just barely missing playoffs. This time though, they’re looking even more competitive with their new roster. Siege is a meme player turned competitive gamer, primarily known for his anti-aggro Reno Shaman. Look for him to post another strong season. Betronom is a longtime player peaking in top 100 legend. He has tournament credentials, finishing top 8 in a national tournament. Next up is nmbrthry, a Wild regular who is reliable enough to post solid results each season. They’ve been around since the very start of the Wild Series. The fourth player is more of an unknown in this season. Kenray is looking to get into the competitive scene more, but this is their first foray into it. There are a lot of unknowns here, but they could prove to be a valuable asset to their team. The captain, Qatharsis, is a solid Wild player on their own. The new team will give them the best chance at making the playoffs yet. Bash Bros.
Bash Bros. returns this season looking to take the Wild series by storm. The chemistry of this team is off the charts, as 80% of the team has played with each other for the past two seasons. Reverb, the former captain in previous seasons and the rock of the team, is looking to make a strong impression in early weeks after some tough stretches last season. MrPython is a very skilled Hearthstone player, specializing in aggro strategies and playing at high legend in multiple formats and THL series. Anubinator is another great Wild player and an even better teammate, always encouraging others and boosting morale with positive messages. Jailstorm, the new captain, returns as Bash Bros. 1-seed, looking to take his team past the playoff quarterfinals this season. Ricebowl, the newest member despite already having a season’s experience in THL, is a “3-2” win specialist, brings smart lineup strategies and strong play. Expect them to make a big splash this season. Crabriders
DocMcButt is looking to turn heads in the Wild Series with his newly formed team, Crabriders. Like the card they’re named after, these guys could scale later in the season and blow out opponents before they even have a chance to react. That being said, they could also falter right out of the gate with an early hungry crab. YeOlHooligan is best known for hitting top 500 legend with Linecracker Druid within their first few months of play. Risa is returning to the Wild Series after a Hiatus last season. They’ll be looking to impress early and show they mean business. DSPJumpy is best known as a data analyst for everyone's favorite card reviewer who's always wrong, TrumpSC. Finally, CasualR is coming back with Doc for this season. They’re hoping to turn things around and put up better numbers in the new meta. With how stacked the Wild Series is looking, this season is shaping up to be the most competitive one yet. Best of luck to everyone!
