The Board: Week in Review, Week of 8/20

A message from the board:

It’s been kind of a hectic week this week!

Season 10 of Ragnaros and season 7 of Sylvanas are officially live!

The RedBubble shop is coming along and should be launching next week.

We are putting an added focus on our Twitch platform and I will have more details from TheTownDrunk very soon. I’ll release a separate interview style article to outline the details by the end of the week.

The Board feedback surveys will be going out in the next day or two as well. Be sure to give us your feedback and fill out the survey on how you feel we’ve been performing. While we may not like all the answers we certainly prefer honesty.

We have struck a partnership with HSreplay.net! We are ironing out the final details over the next couple of days, but I’m excited to say that you’ll be seeing some raffles for HSreplay premium codes on upcoming streams!

Finally I have something on a bit more serious note I’d like to discuss.

As many of you know there was a tragedy in Jacksonville, Florida yesterday. A shooter took 4 lives and injured many more at an eSports event. This happened within the gaming community and I just wanted to take a couple of moments to say that we are all just people trying to have fun, and make friends. Events like this are horrific and should remind us all to be kind and show respect to one another. Obviously we will disagree at times, and that’s OK, if something ever gets heated just take a moment and a deep breath. We are all in this together, to try and better the league, and ourselves. We have a lot of amazing minds here in THL, and I want us all to focus on providing a positive, fun environment for new and returning players alike.

While it does not lessen the weight of the lives lost yesterday, our thoughts and best wishes go to the affected families. Our very own Josh Sampson will be hosting a charity stream on twitch on Saturday September 1st at 1PM EST. All proceeds from the stream will go to benefit the victims and their families. I know many of us struggle to make ends meet from week to week. But any support you can give is greatly appreciated.
