Sylvanas Hall of Fame Inductees: Class Number Two

As we approach our second season of eligibility, the Hall still remains exclusive. For our second Sylvanas League induction class, the Hall enshrines its first player of significant achievement.


The following process and criteria was used to identify HoF Inductees:
To be considered eligible, one must have participated for at least 5 seasons in Sylvanas League as either a player, a captain, or a consistent contributor to League operations or content.


A selection committee of 7 League members was formed, and the community as a whole submitted nominations to be considered. Guidelines for selection include but are not limited to:

• A distinguished record of competitive achievement during League play, with consideration given to win/loss record, game record, postseason play, All Star selections, and season awards earned. Consideration was also given to integrity, sportsmanship, and character.
  
• A distinguished record of competitive team achievement as a captain during League play, with consideration given to win/loss record, number of playoff appearances, division titles won, championships won, and captain awards earned. Consideration was again also given to integrity, sportsmanship, and character.
  
• Exceptional contributions that have furthered the growth, reputation, and character of the League, in categories such as administration, content creation, and casting.

Merkin_pie


After five seasons playing with Merkin_pie I can confidently say that he is fully deserving of this honor. It did not take long before I would just assume he was going to win every week. I remember the first time I play tested against Merkin - it was immediately apparent that his caliber of play was well above his typical ladder rank (of which I'm fairly certain has never been above five). The thing that is most impressive about his 68.57% win rate over the course of five seasons is that he’s been running every season on a budget collection - playing not what the meta called for, but with what his collection would allow. All the while, Merkin has been a great team member, who despite his dominating performance remains humble. Serving as a key component to team Kawasaki Ninjas Rule reaching the semifinals three times, the finals twice, and winning the Season 3 championship, Merkin_pie has shown consistency of excellence in his performance as a player and a competitor. Sylvanas League is proud to name you its first inductee for player achievement - welcome to the Hall of Fame.
