SHL Power Rankings - Week 7

TinyFin Fanclub (1): Tinyfin Fanclub surprisingly struggled against Next Level, the lowest rated team. They managed to pull out a tie despite suffering from a DQ. Tinyfin is all but certain to make it to the playoffs, but they have to make sure to stay on top of their game if they want to win it all.

Flint Tropics (2): Flint Tropics continue to coast into the playoffs with a 13-8 victory against Xplosivesheep. They will look to finish off a strong first season in their match against Zona Peligrosa this week.

Temporal Legends (3): Temporal Legends pulled out a nailbiter vs DadLegend that came down to the final match on Sunday night. They're set up to take the division if they avoid getting blown out by the Bandits this week.

Daddy Up (4): The division leaders going into week 7, Daddy Up is looking to secure its spot in the playoffs by beating Team Black Lotus this week. Coming off a close 2-3 loss to the Defias Henchmen last week, Daddy Up really needs to pull it together to defeat a Black Lotus team that barely pulled off a win last week. Posting a better match and game win percentage than anyone else in the division (57.69/57.55) should benefit Daddy Up if all 5 of their player can put on a strong showing and help lock up that number 1 spot.

Sexy Hombres in Texas (5): Sexy Hombres in Texas dominated Zona Peligrosa in a 20-3 win. They will look to solidify their playoff spot this week with a win against Xplosive sheep.

DadLegend (6): DadLegend wound up on the wrong side of a close one vs the division-leading Temporal Legends which dashed the hopes of a division title. DadLegend needs to avoid a USA-soccer level collapse this week to ensure a playoff position.

Big Deck Bandits (7): The Big Deck Bandits destroyed Xnergy this week by a score of 20-4. This basically seals their playoff spot but a landslide victory in their upcoming match vs Temporal Legends could give them a shot at the division.
Team Black Lotus (8): Currently 4 points behind Daddy Up and looking to unseat the current leader in purple is Team Black Lotus. A close win against the last place WeaselSharks last week was not what TBL needed if they are looking to take control of the division. Lucky for them they face off with Daddy Up this week in a head-to-head that will determine who is the division leader will be going into the playoffs. Although they lead purple in match wins TBL tends to play teams close which could be their downfall going against a Daddy Up team that is posting a close to 60% match and game win percentage.

Xplosive Sheep (9): Xplosive sheep took a blow to their playoff chances this week with a 8-13 loss to Flint Tropics. Though they will still look to finish the season strong against Sexy Hombres in Texas in a match where if all things go right for them and a couple things go wrong for other teams could cause them to make the playoffs.

Defias Henchmen (10): Team Black Lotus should send the Henchmen “Thank You” cards if they make the playoffs. Defias Henchmen defeated division leader Daddy Up 3-2 last week to prevent them from running away with the purple division. Defias put forth a good effort this season and had they been in any other division they might have stood a chance of making the playoffs, however this last week should be a confidence booster going into season 5 as the Henchmen face the last place WeaselSharks.

Xnergy (11): Xnergy would like to forget about  the match vs the Bandits. They'll look to take out their frustration vs DadLegend and try to pull out a huge margin as its the only way they have a shot for the postseason.

Team WeaselShark (12): A long, long time ago in a SHL season roughly 7 weeks ago, Team WeaselShark had a shot at making the playoffs. A few glimmers of hope along the way, a couple of big wins, an undefeated one seed, TWS hoped to get over the hump and stay in the running for the playoffs. Stuck in a highly competitive purple division, their hopes were quickly dashed. An unfortunate DQ by the 5 seed all but ended the hope of even playing the spoiler to Team Black Lotus last week. Next up is a Defias Henchmen team coming off a big win over Daddy Up, it’s safe to say this team has officially jumped the WeaselShark.

Zona Peligrosa (13): Zona peligrosa took a beating this week in their 3-20 loss to Sexy Hombres in Texas. They will still look to finish strong even though they won't be in playoff contention this week against Flint Tropics.

Kawasaki Ninjas Rule (14): Kawasaki Ninjas Rule pulled off an impressive victory against Destiny's Illegitimate Child. Unfortunately, at this point they are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs

Destiny’s Illegitimate Child (15): Destiny's Illegitimate Child needed to win by a decent margin this week to stay in playoff contention.  Unfortunately, they suffered a huge loss to Kawasaki (16-6) and they have been eliminated them from playoff contention.

Team Next Level (16): Team Next Level played a close series against the division and overall points leader Tinyfin Fan Club. Unfortunately, this effort was too little too late and Next Level has to wait until next season to compete in the playoffs.
