Expert Ragnaros and Sylvanas Championship Predictions

If there's anything people like more than being right, it's seeing other people be wrong.  With that in mind, we've gathered some of the finest experts to give their predictions for the Ragnaros X and Sylvanas 7 championships!  

​I already went on record last night with my predictions on HearthCenter but I'll happily print them here for easier shaming.  

I expect Ragnaros to be a tale of the deeper lineup.  Edelweiss and Itachi are powerhouses at the top two seeds and I think we can bank on them doing what they've done all season: Win.  Edelweiss vs MMI is one of the more intriguing individual series of the entire season but Edelweiss is rolling right now.  This series truly will come down to the 3-5 seeds.  TwoStarMako, by anyone's metrics, has been phenomenal this whole season.  Although pound for pound smileykris might be the better player between her and Sage, it appears that Sage has this meta figured out.  Or he's getting coached up really well.  Or something.  I think he manages to sneak by Kris.  That leaves the serially disrespected Skritch vs davpetm, a player who would have been in top 15 contention if not for a DQ loss earlier this season.  This one could go either way but I'm gonna trust in the prep and take Skritch.  Final line:

Smileykris 2 - Sage 3
davpetm 2 - Skritch 3

HSA wins 14-13

As close as Ragnaros will be, I think Sylvanas will be even closer.  Jyak played a tough schedule this season and faded a bit down the stretch, meanwhile ironFIRE is as solid as ever.  I think Ironfire takes the 1 seed bout.  Haymak3r vs Wolfmack might be the pivotal fight of this series.  Wolfmack in the two is very daunting which will make it even more shocking when I predict that Haymak3r takes it.  Wildfire8010 needs no introduction, sorry Starlax.  You're just running into one of the hottest hands in the league right now.  I like JerryDamage in a rout over ShadowRanger.  Jerry comes to play.  That leave is all down to captain Dr8del which right now appears to be our chronologically last match of the entire season.  I used an analogy last night that highly skilled poker players tend to like playing against other highly skilled players more than amateurs because you can reasonably predict what they're going to do in most situations, especially if you play with a person enough.  Dr8del intentionally goes in different directions that make his decks unpredictable.  Better?  Debatable.  There will be wrinkles that Starden just can't plan for and we know this for sure.  It's working for Dr8del this season (more so in Rag than Sylvanas, but alas) and I think it works again.

Bomb Voyage wins 13-13 on tiebreaker

For the record, both of my co-hosts Jammies and Markshire predicted Collective Mayhem and Ugly Mucklings to win.  The house of HearthCenter is truly divided.

Ragnaros - Talk about a big match. I can easily see this going to either team. But my gut feeling is that we are going to see the HSA dynasty continue with their 3rd title.

Sylvanas - Muck each and every one of you. In my expert and totally not biased opinion, I pick the Mucklings to win the Sylvanas Season 7 title, the 2019 NCAA Men's Hockey Championship, the Gold medal in the 400 meter dash, and the 2018 Holiday Baking Championship as well.

With Collective Mayhem emerging victorious from the Blue-Purple division, and HSA dominating the Red-Gold, this finals match is anyone’s game. However, I predict HSA will win the 1, 4, and 5 seeds to win the championship. If Mayhem can sneak a win out from Edelweiss, Smileykris, or Davpetm, they could see themselves in a position to win it all.

After dominating the Rold conference, HSA is in the fight of their lives. Unfavored in the top 2 seeds, favored in seeds 3 & 4, it may come down to the battle of the 5 seeds. I don't think any of the top 4 seeds is a lock, but I won't be surprised to see the teams in a virtual tie after those matches are totaled. Here I give Skritch the slightest edge over Davpetm. I predict HSA wins 3-2 in a near photo finish over Collective Mayhem in the finals.

In a world filled with muck and bombs, who can you even trust anymore? Can Bomb Voyage find a path to victory or will their hopes get blown up? They can win, but it won't be easy. The Mucklings have a dominant 1 seed and quality in the 2 and 3 seeds as well. Although Wildfire has the better record, Starlax has a higher rating and can be considered the favorite. In 3 tough matches, I expect BV to find one lone victory. Suppose they also win in the 5 seed. Now the key match is ShadowRanger vs JerryDamage in the 4 seed. I expect a close 5 game series but I'm going with ShadowRanger. Maybe this will be viewed as an upset, but I'm picking Bomb Voyage over the Ugly Mucklings in an exciting Sylvanas Championship.
