Thanks everyone for reading another edition of the Hero Series Power Rankings! Just a note for this week, as the season progresses it has been getting harder to write a paragraph on each and every team. Instead we'll be highlighting teams that we think had interesting shifts in the power rankings, with a focus on those that are higher ranked. If you guys have any questions about our rankings, feel free to tag us on discord, we'd be happy to discuss! Good luck to everyone in your matches this week! 1. Booty Bay Yacht Club (+1) The Yacht Club returns to the top of our Hero Series rankings. However, this team has shown more cracks than we thought would be there from Preseason. Their schedule hasn't been anything special, outside of a close win over AskHS, and they've only won weeks 3-2 in matches. However, what makes us still have confidence in this team are the players that are succeeding. Their bottom 3 seeds to start the season in bluesombrero, TwoStarMako and Skritch were our biggest question marks due to their lack of experience in LHS, but they've amassed an 8-1 combined match record in the first 3 weeks of the season. MemyselfandI and BOOZASAURUS have been where they were struggling more, and we believe they'll pick up the team's slack as the season goes on. 2. Tap Last (+4) Tap Last has made the leap to being an elite team in THL this week, now leading all of Hero Series in total points with 60. Their roster has been performing fantastically as a whole, but their key players to watch right now are in the 1 and 5 seeds. Myth and Eight bit have only lost a single game between them for a combined game record of 18-1. Right now, they're definitely the top player duo in all of Hero Series. Rookie ZanCat is also undefeated in matches, and will face a skilled opponent in ApexPredador of ATL this week. If ZanCat wins, Tap Last should be heavily favored to win the week. 3. TBH JOOD (+2) So far JOOD have been led by 1 seed Itachi, who's 3-0 to begin the season. They've been putting up tons of points, and currently lead the blue conference in points. The story of the week from them is definitely Starden joining the team. He'll be facing off against Hero Power Rangers' Mattatarms this week in his debut. While he is going to start in the 4 seed, he will likely drop to the 5 after this week due to his PR. 4. Diffuse To Dharma (-1) Unfortunately, the spot that previously had been held by Diffuse to Dharma every week has now been taken by TBH JOOD. Dharma edged out B12 last week with a 3-2 win (including a DQ win), not the best of showings for a team near the top of our rankings. We're still looking from a statement win from them, as they tied the highest ranked team they've played so far (the Spell Stoners). We're also looking from a recovery from a slow start by Wildfire8010, who will be hoping to do so against Starlax this week, even with a 140 PR disadvantage. 5. AskHS (-1) AskHS had a strong showing against BBY last week, putting up 2 matches and picking up a couple games in their losses. Their first loss being against such a strong team bodes well for them going forwards. Khell has had a promising start for them as well, which is a very good sign for the team going forwards. 6. Xplosive Sheep (-5) The Sheep's hot streak came to a screeching halt last week against the Spell Stoners. Deliver and Xfector remain undefeated, however, and will look to carry that momentum into their match against DadLegend this week. 7. The Fearless Hearth (+3) The Fearless Hearth have broken into the top 8 of our rankings with a strong win over the Hero Power Rangers. Their only loss so far has come at the hands of TBH JOOD, and the player we highlighted to watch in Gelguy has performed admirably so far, starting off 2-1. We expect Gelguy to be the key for this team going forwards. If he keeps up this strong performance, there's a good chance the Fearless Hearth could end up in the playoffs. 8. Spell Stoners (+6) The Spell Stoners are also newcomers to the top 8 of our rankings. They had a huge win over the previously #1 ranked Xplosive Sheep, with three sweeps coming in for their side. KidEternity has impressed, starting out 2-1, and Vendi has been off to a similarly strong start. 9. Tan Pam's Surf Slam (+4) The Surf Slam picked up the strongest win of their season so far with a 15-11 victory over The Cult. Jaxox, Ozmanaut and Nate led the way, while Lefty2111 had his only loss of the season so far. The Surf Slam are a force to be reckoned with, and are only this low on our rankings due to their relatively low point total and lack of a signature win on the season. Picking up a win against the Boars this week would be a nice step towards playoff contention. 10. Ugly Mucklings (-2) The Mucklings' first week with their new roster did not go as they might've hoped. They picked up their first loss of the season, but one that comes with a large asterisk; their loss was to the rankings' #2 team in Tap Last. Interestingly, kd1215 has dropped to the 2 seed this week, where he has been more experienced in Legacy Series and Hero Series historically. Their top 3 seeds for this upcoming week are all within 30 PR however, so don't expect him to stay there for long. Their biggest strength on their current roster appears to be Starlax, who is currently the highest PR 3 seed in all of Hero Series. They will need a strong performance from him if they want to bounce back into playoff contention. 11. The Cult (-4) The Cult has dropped to 1-2 to begin the season. They may have more losses than wins over their belts so far, but they've faced a tough schedule of teams, including Tan Pam's Surf Slam and AskHS. BlueJay has been their top player so far, starting off 3-0, but it hasn't been quite enough for his team to win every week. ClarkHELLSCREAM has been off to an unexpectedly slow start, and is taking a break this week to focus on the wild open. Instead, BRF's Plantz will be subbing in the 1 seed to face off against the Yacht Club's coach: Ultimate. 12. ATL (+0) 13. Hero Power Rangers (-4) 14. DadLegend (+3) 15. Team Black Lotus (+1) 16. Big Deck Bandits (-5) 17. Booty Bay Boners (+1) 18. Bomb Voyage (-3) 19. 65,340,285 Boars (+0) 20. B12 (+0)
