OK so this isn't a true announcement. We announced it in the Town Hall last week and info has been posted in the discord. I wanted the official info to be posted in as many places as possible.
Registration Link (CLOSED) Decklist Submission (Due by 8/16, 9PM EDT) (CLOSED) Shield Submission Ban Submission Results Submission (both players need to complete this) Stream Signup Form Official Rules: Format: Paragon (Best of 3 Conquest with a Shield Phase, one ban after a class is protected) Open Lists Lists will be due by 8/16. Players will go to https://www.yaytears.com/ and enter their 4 decks. Once complete, they will submit the link that yaytears provides at the form above. LISTS CANNOT CHANGE ONCE THEY ARE SUBMITTED AND WILL NOT CHANGE THROUGHOUT THE DURATION OF THE TOURNAMENT. Participants will be geographically separated into 4 regions. The regions will be determined by the location of the participants who have signed up. This won't be simple time zones as all regions must be balanced. There will be a random draw for the group phase. 1 participant from each of the four regions will be in each group. Group Phase: Players will have 10 days to play one series against each of their group opponents. The top two records from each group will advance to the knockout phase. Tie breakers are settled this way: 1st – Overall series wins If two players are tied, the winner of the head to head matchup between the two players will advance. If three or four players are tied, the most GAME wins will be the deciding factor. Second tiebreaker will be fewest losses. If the players remain tied after this, a 1 game “shoot out” will determine who advances. 1 game series, no ban. Can use any of your 4 decks. Knockout Phase The tournament will then be single elimination and proceed as availability allows. There will be a third place game between the two eliminated semi-finalists. Miscellany This is intended to be a content event for the offseason - as such allowing yourself to be streamed is a requirement. If your match is capable of being streamed, it has to be allowed. Open lists are to minimize adjudication. If lists are locked in, you can ban using borrow decks since multiples won't matter. Eases use of email and trying to reduce systems stress. I'll run everything spreadsheet wise. Anyone who has played in THL at some point during 2019 is eligible. Prizes Prizes will be for the top 4 and for ALL members of the top overall region. This means that even if you are personally mathematically eliminated, every match win counts for your region! The prize pool is operating solely on the kindness of your fellow THL members and the specifics will be provided once we know the total contribution. A prize contribution is PURELY OPTIONAL and does not affect entry or grouping in any way but would be most appreciated. 100% of donations goes into the prizes. No money is being used anywhere but for this tournament. Your current contributors: Donde Quaz Billsnyder iCon Saku
