Legacy : @IDK | TPSS | JRJuggerLaw
It’s tough to beat the best team in your conference. IDK has not had the best start so far, with a 2-2 record. you’re facing the wallet warriors’ Dragonninja who is 100 pr above yours, but you’re a juggernaut. That difference means nothing. With this in mind, JR brought his druid, paladin and shaman to a strong 3-1 win. Bringing his team back into contention in the crazy silver conference. - LotusKnight Hero: @F2L/Clowns/AFG | Nejiboston Nejiboston notches his first hero series win of the season with a decisive 3-1 victory over Heatshock, lifting F2L Black over VOSC 18-7. A possible turn of the corner for F2L who have maintained a decent position despite the struggles at the 1 seed. - Itachi Pro: @oddlaw Given no chance of beating an undefeated F2L outfit, the Aussie Pro Mafia once again put a contract out on a more fancied opponent. With the match tied 2 apiece Oddlaw looked to take out Qsns. Going out to a 2-0 lead Qsns put up a fight taking it to game 5, but fatigue was only ever going to kill his opponent. Oddlaw's warlock taking game 5 and delivering F2L their first hit of the season. - Bonemasher BGs: @Riots In Lobby 1 full of Leapers we looked for a hero to save us from Froggery. Riots answered that call with a 1st place but the hero soon became the villain as Lobby 2 Riots found not 1 but 2 golden Leapers to take a great 2nd place as Risky Refresh closes the gap on #1. - Koroden(edited) [7:25 AM] . Wild NA: @Concernedmom In a battle for the top of the green conference standings, the two remaining undefeated teams, Hair Club and Meta Droolers, faced off last week. After 4 matches they found themselves locked in a tight 11-10 contest, with the final coming down to ConcernedMom vs Godbout123. Overcoming all his concerns, Mom came out on top, reverse sweeping Godbout's Aggro Priest to earn his team the 14-13 win, and week 5 Wild-NA Player of the Week honors along the way. The win keeps Hair Club bald in the loss column, with 94 points and a 5-0 record to start the season. - DoctorBOMD Wild EU: Hijo Hijo came in as a sub against one of the strongest teams in the Wild EU series. He was facing one of the best players in Lasagne, the top player in our NA power rankings, and had the pressure of the entire week resting on his shoulders with their match as the decider. With a clutch match win in 5 games though, Hijo sealed the week for A Little Agony and kept them in 1st place! - nhlnjfan

Legacy: @AlwaysLethal
AlwaysLethal is going on a rampage this season. And another victim has arrived. One of THL's craziest players, HonestZaib, did his best, but was not able to stop one of the only 6 players who brought did not bring shaman in legacy from winning a match. This match certified the clinch for the GoldenWisps, who barely held back DadLegend. Looks like not missing lethal is paying off. - LotusKnight Hero: @qUAZ Hero's week 3 Player of the Week is quaz, who didn't let a 136 PR deficit stand in the way of taking down his competition. Putting up a 3-2 win in the 5 seed helped Bolner Jams 03 to a 15-13 victory over Tan Pam's Surf Slam, and kept them tied for the top total on the series leaderboard. - DoctorBOMD Pro: @qsns The young gun (to THL) for F2L, Qsns, came in clutch last week against Undivided to keep F2L the only undefeated team in Pink. In a tight 3-2 series Qsns clutched game 5 and improved to 2-1 personally. The F2L Pro dynasty lives on. - basedinc Battlegrounds: @yachster After a meta shakeup Yachster still maintains his dominance as one of the top point getters this season. With 2- 2nds Yachster keeps his team within striking distance of a playoff spot as the season end edges ever so close. Great job and best of luck! - Koroden [7:36 PM] . Wild NA: @ElectricSheepCity WTF entered week 4 winless and searching for something to help jumpstart their season. Down 6-10 after 3 matches, things weren’t looking great. But that’s when our Wild-NA Player of the Week ElectricSheepCity, faced with a tough matchup against recent Rank 1 Legend TomCarter, threw the team on his back and pulled out a sweep. The 3-0 pulled WTF even for the week, and set them up for their first win with another sweep in the final. Well done! - DoctorBOMD Wild EU: @alb987 Alb remains the last undefeated player in the Wild EU Series, and deserves even more credit this week. With the week on the line, he entered his match against Week 2's Player of the Week Tauntischeat. A win not only kept Alb's record perfect, but also guaranteed F2L: Celadon didn't fall to the top seeded Agony. As it turns out, a little agony is no match for our player of the week, with Alb coming on top 3-2. - nhlnhfan1 Legacy: Rizen
Rizen came in huge this week for Chaos Theory taking a reverse sweep and taking his first win of the season to put his team in position to win against Amber Flight Gaming. Congrats on the win! - DoctorFeesh Hero: Thalfix Getting off to a 3-0 start is no easy feat but Thalfix has made it look as easy as 1,2,3. With a 3-0 sweep this week Thalfix denied key points ensuring that VoSC came out with the victory in a very close match up. We will have to see if they can continue the great gameplay! Congratulations - Koroden Pro: MoneyPockets After receiving several nominations 2 weeks ago for coming in clutch for a Sushi Rats victory, Moneypockets has come up with a sweep in a Sushi Rats victory over HypeHorizon last week as well! 2 incredible weeks for Moneypockets and Sushi Rats already off to an incredible 2-0 start. This team is off to a hot start and Moneypockets is already looking like a player to watch for this season. - basedinc Battlegrounds: Sazuru The man was unconscious playing on Sunday night coming in 1st place TWICE for his team Risky Refresh. Wonderful fast start in Round 1, got him pouncing on the competition and ended up battling his teammate in an almost epic golden boat battle with Terpsy defeating him for top spot. Second round proved to be not as "easy" but building a strong comp he came out on top scoring 20pts for his team. Super strong play by Sazuru!! Congrats!! - Koroden Wild-NA: Reverb “Having only won 2 matches in 2 weeks Bash Bros took on wild powerhouse and reigning champions F2L. At 2 matches a piece the final match was a winner takes all affair. Reverb-erations could be felt across the wild landscape as the prey became the predator, taking the points and sending a message to the other teams, if it bleeds we can kill it!” - Bonemasher (the real one, not the pretend flower one) Wild-EU: Adrien123 EAW were up against a seemingly insurmountable challenge in GOKU NUMBER 1. The norwegian himself had already completed a sweep and both teams were neck and neck through the first 4 matches. Goku may be number 1, but that wasn't enough to keep our player of the week from sealing his team's win in week 3. Adrien123 came in and saved the week for his team with a 3-1 win over Burnt. The win put his team on top with a 14-12 score to close out the week! - MartyB Legacy: Wild9
Not in your wildest dreams would you expect a brand new op to do this well while playing at the same time as he has the first week oping a new show. Wild9 has climbed from the 3 seed to the 1 seed, and shows he means business. After a win against EZbake, this menace beat Tacocat 3-1. This will be a wild season! - Lotus Hero: Doctorfeesh Sweeping a player close to 200pr higher in Shoebacca is a hell of a feat, and getting in the early contender for BGH. The 2-0 start to the season has been integral to F2L: Black's start as well, DoctorFeesh has now got himself above the 50pr threshold! - Itachi Pro: Pascoa Things were looking grim for the clowns when they were down 12-9 on Sunday and needing a sweep to win the week. Pascoa came in and got the job done with a clean 3-0 sweep to help propel the clowns to their first victory of the season over the defending champs! - Nejiboston Battlegrounds: damon Week 2 is in the books for BGs and Damon takes PotW with a fantasic 2nd/1st finish in his lobby. It was a tough contest but he came out the victor in an unfavoured match up in the final round edging out the 1st place giving Crafty Monkeys a massive lead in the standings. - Koroden Wild-NA: oddlaw Everyone knows Warlock is the best deck in Wild right now. It’s basically an auto-include for any lineup. But our week 2 Player of the Week didn’t see it that way. Taking aim at the Demon Seed, Oddlaw didn’t bring or ban the powerful deck, and the strategy paid off. A 3-2 match win helped Mankrik’s Revenge squeak out a 14-13 victory over Nofin 2, bringing them to 2-0 on the season. - DoctorBOMD Wild-EU: tauntischeat Similar to our NA player of the week, EU's player of the week took a bold strategy in leaving Warlock up in their series to target it. It paid off massively, with Tauntischeat taking a clean sweep over Burnt. His play helped propel A Little Agony just one point out of first place! - MartyB Legacy: Darkseid Darth Vader here beat Nails; that's already the BGH of the season. Keeps SPG in it on points, meaning STD is the actual lowest point earner of the first week. Just an insane performance for probably what everyone expected to be one of the most certain blowouts of the week. - RonMexico Hero: Diamond Diamond is shining bright to start off the season with a 3-0 sweep over the grossly underseeded NiceJewishOwl. A huge upset in the seed and a great win for a strong team to start the season! - Itachi Pro: Reverb Reverb and his Aussie Pro Mafia came to Wet Goose's turf with one thing in mind, to take care of business. This was barely a match, it was a shake down, with Reverb taking a 3-0 victory, setting up APM's win and sending a message to the competition - these grimy goons have come to play! - Bonemasher Battlegrounds: Mewwy A newcomer in the THL but not the the Battlegrounds scene! Mewwy put on a show grabbing a 1st and 2nd place making them the leading point scorer in the opening week. Teams need to be on the lookout now that they know what to expect from Mewwy- congratulations in week 1! - Koroden Wild NA: Quakelord A player making a positive mark already, predictably matching against prominent meta archtypes, performed mightily against pressure. Mustering answers proficiently, my awarded PlayerOfTheWeek, MrQuakelord, antiswept priest, mage, and paladin, making a positive margin a possibility. Masterfully accomplished, Pain Merchants! -aDoctorBOMD prescribed meme. APM. Wild EU: therottedzombie It was down the wire in the matchup between F2L: Celadon and the team from across the pond. Rebobson, also known as Mr. F2L himself, was up for closing it out, but a certain Happy Ghoul got in the way of that. TheRottedZombie took a 3-2 win in a close series to eek out a win for USA NUMBER ONE, bringing them their first victory in the inaugural week of the EU Wild Series! - nhlnjfan1 JerryDamage returns to the blog with another 10 Questions! Long-time blog readers will remember Jerry's interview series where he picks the brain of THL captains and players. This week he sits down with JRJuggerlaw!
The following process and criteria was used to identify HoF Inductees:
To be considered eligible, one must have participated for at least 5 seasons in Legacy Series as either a player, a captain, or a consistent contributor to THL operations or content. A selection committee of 9 community members was formed, and the community as a whole submitted nominations to be considered. Guidelines for selection include but are not limited to:
Bearing that in mind, the time has come to present to you our fourth class of Legacy Series Inductees: Player: Liquidox: It was a random set of circumstances that led to LiquidOx being the force to be reckoned you see before you, but here we are. I had just logged into HS on my phone to play a few games before university and to do my NA daily quests; due to the time differences this usually meant a fairly long queue time, but on this occasion I matched up pretty quickly with a player called LiquidOx. I don’t remember the game at all, but it must have been a pretty cool one as he added me after and we wound up having a chat. We realised we were both British players (he is Scottish but I’m claiming him) playing on the NA server, and he told me he had just started streaming as a long time Slysssa sub who had been recommended by her to just give it a go. We swapped socials as he had mentioned he wanted to give HS much more of a try, and I had mentioned THL as a great way of doing that, though we were mid-season at the time so he would have had to wait before recruitment started. As it happened, I would have to duck out mid-season by chance, so I recommended this Ox character to the rest of the team on F2L (née FTL), and they got him on board. The rest, as they say, is history. From a kid who had a bit of a problem with just chucking out cards to see what would happen, streaming to a handful of viewers on a poky little webcam, to pulling in a hundred+ streaming high legend, captain of Hype Horizen and one of the most decorated players in Pro history (3 championships in 5 seasons, with what could well be a fourth on the way looking at this season), the improvement in not just his play, but his mentality has been astounding to watch. He always was a fantastic person to have on a team; no-one can lighten team morale like a notorious memer, but maintaining a 60% winrate across 6 seasons, with what I would put money on being the highest rollover rate week by week of any one player, shows the sheer unbridled talent of this player. He may not be the hardest prepper, but at the end of the day he doesn’t really need to be, he is just that good, and he truly deserves to be in the HOF. -rebobson The following process and criteria was used to identify HoF Inductees:

Bearing that in mind, the time has come to present to you our fourth class of Legacy Series Inductees: Players: Itachi Itachi joined THL in late 2017. Durden and I had just started a new team and Itachi was interested in joining. We decided to hold a scrim where Itachi and I teamed up against Durden and another prospective player, smileykris, in a Best of 5. Itachi and I promptly lost all 3 games. But I could tell that Itachi was a strong player, and Durden and I decided to sign him to Project Mayhem. Mayhem never won a title, but Itachi has gone on since then to win 5 total championships in THL - at the time of this writing, the most of anyone in THL. Itachi has championships with 4th and Inches in Legacy Season 14, The Cult is Hero Season 9, F2L in Wild Season 1, and FTL in Pro Seasons 1 and 2. And he’s done it all by being an excellent supportive teammate - always around to give advice on lineups, hop in voice to practice, or just co-op. Itachi is truly deserving of being in the THL Hall of Fame. -Markshire Itachi has been a staple of THL for as long as I have been around. Any time I see him on a team I know to take note of them and be wary. Itachi is not just a stellar player, but teammate as well! His participation within his teams is unparalleled. Offering lineup advice and practicing every week with his team is the norm for a player with such high standards as Itachi. So you too should be wary of any team he is playing on. His 5 championship titles reflects this intense motivation to succeed and it is in honor of his achievements that he is being inducted to the Hall of Fame. -Sage Ghost Ghost with out a single doubt in my mind has been one of if not the most integral players on every single team he's played on. When he started out in THL I knew he was going to kill it every time he played. From the sheer amount of prep he put in week in and week out every single season, there was never a chance that he wouldn't do everything he could to win every single week. Seeing him grow as a hearthstone player both in and out of THL has truly been remarkable to see, and I'm glad he's finally getting the recognition he deserves for carrying prep every single season. Ly Ghost Ghost and congrats on HOF -Boozasaurus RonMexico me go face? YUP. me play priest? NOPE. what a motto to live by. a motto that only the few that truly devote their play style in the name of rexxar can claim. Some would say they have fallen so much into the hunter way of life they have fallen into the path of the demon hunter. Who is this person you may ask? well i will give you a hint. they claim to wear a hat but they never do, they are the most kind hearted person in real life but a pure savage on the hearthstone battlefield (no not battleground they are not that good there). thats right i am talking about RONTUNA erm i mean BrushyMexico umm i meant RONMEXICO!!!!!!!! feared by all opponents season after season in the legacy world of THL. consistently crushing their competition beneath their bow! Ronmexico has consistently shown THL what it is like to be a top performer in legacy so lets all congratulate him or boo him (live your life i can't tell you what to do) as we WELCOME HIM TO THE THL HALL OF FAME. congrats Ron you deserved this and i wish you all the best in future seasons to come. continue playing hunter classes and ignoring that priest all the way to the top!!! -Brushytuna I remember the day I met RonMexico. Fuel suggested he join my newly formed pro team, The Unknown. Ron was a go getter from the beginning, never missing a stride. His devotion to the team was unlike any other person I've met in the THL. I knew he was a great fit from the beginning and I had a feeling he was destined for greatness in our organization. On top of all his stellar game player and teammanship, he delved into content. He took a struggling Around the Saloon and turned it into one of THLs best shows. He rarely turned down opportunities in content was always a go to guy who you rely on not only doing shows, but casting matches, tournaments, offering written content in PotW, and being an active member in our discord. Without Ron content would not be the same and not be in such a great place that it is in now. Ron is also a great friend of mine. He was always someone I could bounce ideas off of and the late night discord calls with Tuna were extremely memorable. One thing is for sure, he isn't a HoFer for his BG plays. His love the game and this organization is what makes his great along with his amazing and great hearthstone game. Ron congratulations!!! -Dusharmo Contributor: BrushyTuna BrushyTuna? Are you kidding me? No way this is right, did someone make a mistake? No? Alright everyone, pack it up, Hall of Fame is ruined now, they’re letting anyone in. Jokes aside though, I am so thrilled to see you added to THL’s Hall of Fame. It’s tough to name anyone who has brought more excitement, more positivity, and more straight up HYPE to THL you. You have had a massive influence on content for THL and in making all of our lives a bit brighter and more fun. From participating in weekly match shows, to community events, to casting a tournament all day long with me until our brains malfunctioned (is that the right word? It sort of implies our brains were in working order to begin with, which uh… yea, nevermind), you have been a great example of why we do what we do. I think a community like THL brings out the best in us, and that wouldn’t happen without you. Stay awesome buds! We may now resume our regularly scheduled roasting of each other until the end of time -Ronmexico BrushyTuna. The day I met him was the same day I met Ron. I was asking for players for my newly formed Unknown Pro team and he was one of the first to ask you join. I saw this man and noticed he was a 5 seed in another series and figured he would be a work in progress. Boy was I wrong. This guy could play. He ended up MVP of Pro Series a few seasons later. I always joked 5 seed on legacy, 1 seed in Pro. Tuna not only was an excellent hearthstone player but also delved into content. He was Ron's right hand man. Always offering great content and the banter between the two was as good as the games themselves. He, much like Ron, helped pushed THL in a newer better era of good content and great personalities. On top of all of this Tuna became a great friend to me. Him and Ron would hang out on discord late into the nights and I would often join them. When I was having a tough day, I would enjoy a night of Tuna bashing Ron's BG plays. I have never laughed so hard in my life. He will always be a great friend to me. Congratulations Tuna, we love you and miss you. -Dusharmo *This was the class of August 2020*

Bearing that in mind, the time has come to present to you our fourth class of Legacy Series Inductees: Players: the_bigted (for hero) The_bigted and THL’s hero series have been almost synonymous for nearly his entire THL career. Ted burst onto the scene in season 7, racing to a rookie of the season and MVP award. Not satisfied with these accolades, he followed up with more strong performances and raised the series championship in season 9 with his teammates from The Cult. Ted has maintained a 59.32% winrate over his 6 seasons in the hero series, no surprise given his consistent dedication. His outstanding play alongside his efforts in content production for hero have given him the nickname “Unofficial Hero Series Commissioner.” True to form, the_bigted continues to set the pace for everyone else, as he is only the second person to be inducted into the hero series hall of fame as a player. With no further ado, it is my absolute pleasure to officially welcome the unofficial hero commissioner into the Hall of Fame. Congratulations again, the_bigted! We are all fortunate to know you and have you continuing to make THL such an amazing place! -RonMexico Captains: Yellowdart (for hero) As the first captain inducted into the Hero series Hall of Fame, I can't think of a more deserving person than Yellowdart. Not only is he the longest tenured captain with 9 full seasons leading Dad Legend, the team win rate of 55% is higher than any other captain with at least 4 seasons on record. That level of consistent performance is incredible, and only begins to tell the story of Yellowdart's value as a captain. Dart is an outgoing, down-to-earth leader that focuses on making sure everyone on his team is comfortable and prepared. He empowers his players to make thoughtful decisions and encourages teamwork and collaboration. His friendly demeanor underlies his dedication to his teammates, always having their back when needed and quickly resolving any issues without alienating anyone involved. His emphasis on positive thinking and trusting his team is readily apparent and greatly appreciated by everyone who's played for him. After Dad Legend captured their first THL championship in season 11, it was only a matter of time before the committee gave an all-bulldog vote to Yellowdart, confirming what all of his players already knew, that he is a true Hall of Famer.(edited) -icicles Contributors There were no Contributors inducted for this class. |
