Congratulations to IMBOLC who redeemed this article on Temporal LegendsTemporal Legends were formed at the beginning of Season 4, Their captan? HectorHowl. HectorHowl had joined THL in the midst of Season 3 and made an immediate impact by joining a team as a sub for the last 4 games of the season, going 4 wins and 0 losses and establishing himself as one of the most dominant newcomers to ever come into Team Hearth League. One of those wins came against Team Rank 5, Their current 1 seed at the time: Imbolc. As they say, your biggest rivals end up making the best of companions. But imbolc didn't join Temporal Legends in Season 4, Instead he went to Entropy and Temporal Legends had a team formed since the end of Season 3. HectorHowl was determined to impress, and that he did. Nicknamed "The Paladins of The Past" Temporal Legends made it all the way to the Quarter Finals of season 4. Losing out to runners up The Hairy Generals in a very close match ending 13-15. Also known for their rigorous application form. The estimated 10 minute application form makes sure they weed out all the players not serious about joining their ranks. When Season 5 came around, Temporal Legends announced the newest addition to their ranks and there was much rejoicing (Monty Python reference). Predictions were high. But the season didnt quite turn out as they planned. With arguably the leagues best 1-2 punch in HectorHowl & Imbolc, they both went 2-7 in their seasons...With most of their losses coming as 2-3 losses. It was a disaster. But despite it being a disaster...Temporal Legends only lost out on a playoff spot on the last week of the season. Knowing this, they kept 80% of their roster going into Season 6 and picking up one of Team Hearth League's most consistent 5 seeds: The Anarchist. The results of both the new addition and Hectorhowl & Imbolc getting over their very unlucky season 5 form. Temporal Legends are now riding high at the top of the Blue/Red conference Division and second in both the league and power rankings. Being overshadowed by a high flying Team Golden Wisp. Is this the season where we see the beginning of the true potential of Temporal Legends? I went over the the Temporal Legends camp to interview The captain as well as some high flying members of the team. Unfortunately only 1 member got back to me. So let's see what a now unleashed Imbolc has had to say about this season and the seasons of the past: Imbolc Interview Known As: Imbolc aka Starry knight Current Team: Temporal Legends Current Seed: 3 Seed Notable Achievements: Comeback Player Award Season 1Comeback Player in Season 1Comeback Player in Season 1 Most known for his time with Team Rank 5 and being quoted with the phrase "Aru ru ru ru" Imbolc has a reputation of beating anyone when he is "Unleashed", in a reference to unleash the hounds... He is like a hound dog waiting to crush his opponent. Now in his second season for Temporal Legends, He could be well on his way to helping them win their first season championship! I came away from that interaction very impressed and knew he was a special player - Imbolc talking about LochNessH How has Temporal Legends been for you so far? Temporal Legends has been great so far. Last season was my first time with TL and although we didn't quite achieve the results we wanted, I still enjoyed playing with everyone on the team and felt we were a much better team than what our points total indicated. It's why when I was asked to return I was excited to say yes and play another season with them. We were able to return the entire roster except for TheAvatar unfortunately, who needed more time for real life but we were fortunate to pick up the TheAnarchist who was an old teammate of mine and has been around THL for some time. Also, while TheAvatar isn't playing every week he is still around to chat, makes a lot of the practices, is available as a substitute when needed, and has been helpful with our preparation so he's still involved and a big part of the team. You had an unsuccessful season 5 in terms of final results, What do you think has changed this time? I did have an unsuccessful season five which is a personal disappointment, made worse by the fact an entire team is dependent upon how you perform. I have had success in THL before so I'm sure TL was expecting more when they signed me and I'm hoping to do better here in season six. I could lose all of my remaining games and this season would look a lot like last so it's too early to think I've turned things around completely but this season is definitely off to a better start. Last season I believe eight of my nine games went to game five so I was close a lot of weeks, just not close enough. While I have some complaints about the current meta I do feel it's a lot better than the meta that was around last season and that has probably helped me out so far. Last week saw Temporal Legends crush Team Rank 5, how does it feel to play against old friends and win? Well I wouldn't say crush as it ended up being a close series which is what I'm assuming both teams probably expected. It did look like the series could be over early but LochnessH wasn't a very good dice roller on Friday Night Fight and we had to wait until Sunday to see which team would win (thanks Phoebus). It was really weird last season scheduling a match against CaptanMurdoc after having been teammates for multiple seasons and there was a similar feeling with Cassity this past week as well. I have a lot of history with Team Rank Five and still talk to them a lot so it did feel pretty good to beat them. I would talk more trash here but MVParker is from Indiana and doesn't read a lot so he probably won't make it this far anyway. How has HectorHowl been as a captain so far? Do you guys do any really cool team rituals that you can maybe talk about? HectorHowl has been a great captain; he works on keeping team morale up, makes sure the team is organized and everyone is prepared, all while also allowing freedom for each individual player to do their own thing. I don't think we really have any cool rituals or anything but we do meet up once a week and that's just a good way for all of the team to get together and talk, ask for opinions, and all of that. Oh, we did do a sealed deck series after last season just as a fun way to end things. Is this the season where Temporal Legends win a championship? I definitely think our roster is good enough to win a championship and for the moment we hold the lead in our conference but there's a lot of Hearthstone left to play and sometimes the best team wins it all, sometimes they don't. I hate to bust out the "one week at a time" thing but in a game with as many variables as Hearthstone you do have to be careful not to get ahead of yourselves. I think as a team we're happy with how things have went so far and we want to just keep preparing every week and see what happens. LochNessH has been putting in quite a season so far, what comments do you have about him? I came into my first season with Temporal Legends only knowing HectorHowl and not really knowing much about the other members. At one of our first practices I was paired up with LochnessH and so on Discord we would discuss each turn and talk about what we thought was the best play. I came away from that interaction very impressed and knew he was a special player. I actually found an old chat log from January 26th where I told someone he was a stud and I felt really good about him. He’s also one of the nicest guys in THL so there’s also that. Lastly, How is Friday Night Fight for you as a viewer so far? Is there anything we can improve on to make it better? As a viewer I've really enjoyed Friday Night Fight so far. The production and casting has been pretty good and of course the points have added some extra community interaction. I've also enjoyed hearing answers to the questions you asked beforehand and the interviews after the match. If I was to suggest something it would be before a match to throw up a quick profile type page of each player. For example, you'd have Player A with his name and picture, maybe PR and record, his results so far this season, and maybe pictures of the classes he's brought that week, maybe even some stats somewhere. Just something to introduce the player a little. I'm not even sure it'd be good but I like stuff like that. Temporal Legends are currently flying high in Season 6, There is a sense of real teamwork going on behind the scenes and that is down to HectorHowl keeping a tight ship and focusing towards the future success of these little paladins. Can they make it all the way? So far there can't be too many doubts as they have proven to everyone that the real star of this season is currently at the top of the blue division, preparing to go all the way. This week sees Temporal Legends take on preseason favourites Soupreme and Temporal Legends will be looking to secure their place at the number 1 spot for the playoffs for the entire blue red conference.
