Week 3 of THL playoffs brings us our first Championship matches. Both Pro and Hero Series are down to just 2 teams, with one bound for THL immortality. The loser, however, will be forgotten and left to rue their brush with glory. The Legacy Series is in its penultimate week with 4 of 24 teams remaining. Having made it this far, it would be cruel to miss the finals. This week also brings us our first Wild Series playoff round. Let’s see who POWBOT predicts will be our first champions this season and who will progress in Legacy and Wild.

Legacy: Diamond Diamond Comes in shining bright in this first week of the season stealing a win from a strong opponent. His win helped his team win the week with only 1 point. Diamond teams are always strong let's see if he and his team can continue the magic into next week. - dusharmo Hero: YouKittenMe YouKittenMe has joined the defending champs and has quite the shoes to fill replacing Molestar. In their debut week, YouKittenMe took a 3-1 win in a 197 PR differential. Absolutely monstrous statement to start their career in the league. - basedinc Pro: xKumei With week 1 hanging in the balance xKumei delivered against a strong opponent taking a 3-1 victory and solidifying the week for NPH. This win comes off the coattails of a great previous season and they will look to build on it for the coming season - Koroden Wild: duocat Duocat re-enters the Wild scene with his first ever THL win! A true captain of his team, this 3-2 win helped propel Team At Any Cost Wild into winning the week over the TaggerFans. This is a great accomplishment already, and I didn't even have to mention that he had to carry a teammate that brought Hero Power Mage! - Geranium Battle With THL entering the off-season, it’s time to discuss draft picks. No, THL has not suddenly adopted an NFL-style player management system; this is for the THL Draft Series tournament!
12 captains have assembled and are ready to recruit a team of champions, free of any PR restrictions. Many of the THL’s superstar players stand ready for the draft, but questions remain. Who will be selected as the number 1 draft pick? Who will drop and be the steal of the draft? Will captains aim to maximize team chemistry, or will they purely go for the best remaining players? Bonemasher, our resident 4 series THL captain, is here to help sift through and decipher the potential draft picks. Legacy: SnakeFawdz
Seek guidance has been a very important part of legacy red conference. Contrary to many other teams, there isn't a player that's super significantly holding more weight than the others. They perform very well together, with many above average results. And SnakeFawdz has been a core part to make this happen. After a strong sweep against an almost undefeated player in SnipeHunter, Snakefawdz was fundamental for the team's win, and puts the team in an extremely comfortable spot for playoffs. This player who seriously shouldn't be a 4 seed is bringing it again! - LotusKnight Hero: nomadfarmer Heading in to the home stretch of the season, APM needed a big win against F2L to stay on course for a possible playoff berth. In stepped nomadfarmer with a clutch 3-2 victory of Mr. F2L himself rebobson to secure the 15-12 victory for his team and pick up those crucial points! Look out for nomadfarmer and all of APM as hero series heats up in the final weeks! - RonMexico Pro: deadsnoop123. Sushi Rats needed a win last week to keep them in the playoff race going into this final week. And deadsnoop123’s sweep help do just that. A big 3-0 in Legacy followed up by another 3-0 in Pro last week has to feel pretty great and helping your team get to just 8 points outside of a playoff spot for the final week? Icing. Good luck to all the Sushi Rats in this final week. - basedinc BGs: UwugentPWE With the playoffs underway every team was looking to get off to an explosive start and leading the way for Concede Ur Match, AgentPWE brought home a 1st and 2nd place in a star studded Sunday Lobby. This has set Concede Ur Match 9 points ahead of the competition coming into the final week of playoffs. - Koroden [11:06 PM] . Wild NA: Charip Week 8 Player of the Week honors go to Charip, who took down wild powerhouse (and current rank 1 legend) Maxiebon in a 3-0 sweep. The win helped the PogMerchants to a narrow 13-10 victory, and keeps them within striking distance of a playoff spot. They'll need a strong performance in the final week to pull it off, but if they get more showings like that, their odds look good! - DoctorBOMD Wild EU: otters Otters had a tall task against EU-veryone's a Winner last week. Going into his match, the score was 8-7 with the top two seeds left to play. The captain had the opportunity to clinch the week, but only with a sweep over Maxadona, a top player on EU ladder. Our player of the week stepped up and acheived exactly that, going undefeated in the EU series last week and taking the win for GOKU NUMBER 1! - nhlnjfan1 Legacy: Mick
Cheesee10 had an undefeated record. The 2 seed for All Pros Missing has been the strongest player in his team, and one of the strongest in legacy as a whole. And who's to stop him, but Mick. Another crazy player, who has not been getting the praise he deserves, stopped the undefeated streak with a sweep. Things are looking golden for the Golden Wisps. - LotusKnight Hero: Doctorfeesh Sporting an amazing 6-1 score on the season DoctorFeesh is looking very strong in the 5 seed. This week was no different as there was a 140PR difference between him and his opponent. Feesh took a well deserved 3-1 victory, helping to get F2L in first place and solidify the max points possible from a team! - Koroden Pro: rebobson F2L is back in Pro in a big way and last week they took down the runner-ups from two seasons ago, Popeye’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich. A highlight match of the 13-10 contest was Rebobson’s sweep over fellow Player of the Week, Mick. The captain put the team on his back last week and bringing home a big W for F2L as we head into the final stretch of the season. - basedinc BGs: Mayanadon Coming into the last week right before playoffs the 4th spot was still up for grabs with 3 teams in a heated battle for the last spot. With a 1st place in Round 1 and a 7th in Round 2 Mayanadon was able to secure DondEighths 4th place by .2 points. We will have to see what happens in the next 2 weeks of playoff action!! - Koroden (edited) [7:12 PM] . Wild NA: nmbrthry The week 7 Wild NA player of the week honors go to nmbrthry for a 3-2 victory over BattleTagger. The win helped the Mad Scientists upset Everyone's a Winner 16-10, and pushed nmbrthry's record to an impressive 6-1 on the season. The win also keeps the Scientists firmly in the playoff race as we enter the final stretch. - DoctorBOMD Wild EU: MadThanos MadThanos is having one of the best seasons in the EU series, but it hasn't come without challenges. During their match against Goku, a pipe burst in their home and disrupted the match. Our player of the week was unphased throughout though, and not only continued to play through the chaos, but beat the ferocious Norwegian, taking 4 points for A Little Agony! - nhlnjfan1 October 8, 2021 NEW GeraniumBattle and research assistant Robocats teamed up to take a look at the Legacy Series playoff picture going into the final week of the regular season.
Here are your long-awaited Week 6 Players of the Week!
Legacy: thechosenpie It's not easy to beat a 5-0 player who's been always lethaling their opponents in spectacular fashion. But Thechosenpie got his first THL win. A 3-2 win wasn't enough to turn around Saronite Pain Gang to get a win against the very strong Golden Wisps, but there's definitely more to this pie than meets the eye. Keep your forks out! - LotusKnight Hero: Thalfix Thalfix keeps a positive winrate while taking down 4-seed juggernaut Anfal in a close 3-2 victory, allowing VOSC to edge out Bolder Jams 14-12. Thalfix moves to 4-2 on the season with another awesome showing! - Itachi Pro: unlimited_POWAH In an absolute nail-biter last week, Faction bested defending champions, Bread Ape, in a 14-13 contest. The final 3 games went to unlimited_powah as he pulled off a reverse sweep to seal the week for his team. A clutch performance fitting for the name. Beware Faction and their powah! - basedinc Battlegrounds: UwugentPWE To no one's surprise this week's PoTW is AgentPWE with an absolutely insane double 1st in both matches. AgentPWEs fantasic finish has catapulted Concede Ur Match into a top 3 position after having a very shaky and difficult start to the season. Keep an eye on Concede Ur Match in the final week as they look to continue their dominant play and secure a playoff berth. - Koroden Wild NA: Risa The week 6 player of the week for wild NA goes to Risa, who earns the nod for a 3-1 win over Nowayh that gave them their first match win of the season, and helped propel The Golden Hand to their first weekly win as well, a 16-13 victory over the Meta Droolers. Hopefully a sign of good things to come in the second half of the season! - DoctorBOMD EU Wild: Fayiron After a solid start, our EU Wild player of the week struggled to get a win. This all changed when Fayiron secured an impressive 3-2 win over one of the best players from the NA series, Battletagger. The captain seals his spot in the two seed and shows why leading by example pays off. - nhlnjfan1 |
